Love Village Season 2 Episode 8 recap: A former resident returns while Manhattan's feelings for Tamifull grow

Love Village Season 2 aired the first eight episodes of the season this week on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The segment saw the cast members continue their stay in Okinawan as a community. As part of the show, four men and four women lived in a secluded Japanese countryside as they got to know each other better before they decided if they wanted to leave the show together or not.

Episode 8, titled, Flowers for the Hopeful started with Gitarin, Ayakan, and Captain working together despite facing issues in the past. Following the exterior project, the houseguests came together as a group as they worked on an interior large-scale renovation project. Later in the episode, they got a surprise visit from a former resident of the show, as he offered love advice to the Season 2 cast.

As per the synopsis:

"A surprise guest shows up to dish out a hearty meal and questionable advice. Manhattan's passionate dedication moves host Atsushi to tears."

Manhattan chimes in on Tamifull having feelings for someone else in Love Village Season 2 Episode 8

In Love Village Season 2 Episode 8, Manhattan expressed having feelings for Tamifull but overheard her talking to Captain while he was in the shower. The cast member chimed in on Tamifull being attracted to someone else while in a confessional.

He said it "hurt very much" because he believed they were growing closer. The Love Village Season 2 cast member further discussed his feelings with Pachi-Yumi, Nikorun's mother. She recalled Manhattan revealing over dinner that his heart had been "moved by someone." When Manhattan said he was not sure, Pachi-Yum said she had no idea who it was.

The male cast member said if he was sure, he would "go for it" but he wouldn't if he thought she didn't have feelings for him. He said he wanted to be cautious.

The following scene saw Anchovy, a Love Village Season 1 participant make their way to the Season 2 village. He told the cast members that he was going to cook them a meat meal and offer some love advice.

Captain approached Anchovy first and the latter asked him if he was in love. The cast member said he wasn't sure. The Season 1 star told him to find things he liked about someone and to also feel motivated to leave the village. Manhattan and Anchovy discussed food as the Season 2 cast member told him about his upcoming birthday. Giratan asked Anchovy about one of Love Village Season 1 contestants.

"Hollywood's my hero. What kind of guy was he? Did he just go and get what he wanted?" Giratan asked.

Next up was Tamifull. Netflix star Anchovy asked her the same question, was she in love? She told the alum there was someone she was interested in and recalled hurting her head previously in front of everyone but that nobody helped her. She recalled they were all in the girls' room and she hit her head on a beam. She told Anchovy that if he had been there, he would have helped her.

The following day, Manhattan planted flowers in the front yard, including a hibiscus that he planted specially for Tamifull. She gave him the comic strip she made and clarified it wasn't a present, but she wanted him to take a look.

"My heart is full, even just looking at the cover," Manhattan said.

While in a confessional, Manhattan said he thought he liked the Love Village Season 2 cast member. The next morning, on the day of his birthday, Manhattan invited Tamifull for a private conversation and praised the comic strip. Later that day, the cast had a party and the guest of honor put up a surprise comedy show for his co-stars.
