“Low-key weird”- The Circle star Rachel chimes in on Kevin choosing to marry her in the challenge

In The Circle season 7 episode 5, contestants had to play the game: "Make Out, Marry, Murder". They had to choose a fellow contestant they wanted to 'make out' with, one they wanted to 'marry,' and another they would like to 'murder.'

Kevin chose to marry her rival alliance member Rachel, and it shocked all the other cast members. Andy's profile user Heather was confused by the decision, as she was in an alliance with Kevin and they were supposed to be against Rachel.

Rachel's profile user Deb was surprised by Kevin's decision to choose her to marry. She further added that Kevin would have made the decision to break up her and Gianna's alliance. She said:

"Really, Kevin? That's low-key weird... You think you're gonna break up Rachanna!"

The synopsis for episode 5 titled Circle Wedding Crashers read:

"A secret profile swap leads to a steamy private chat, and a messy game forces the players to reveal who they'd wed, smooch — or take down."

The Circle star Kevin explains "Make Out, Marry, Murder" challenge picks

The Circle season 7 contestants got their first challenge of episode 5 and it was called "Make out, Marry, Murder". Host Michelle Buteau explained the game and narrated that the contestants had to choose from their fellow players whom they would like to make out with, marry, and murder.

"In today's game, you'll choose from your fellow players who you'd like to make out with, marry, or murder. Once the answers are locked The Circle will disclose them one by one, of course, because it loves the drama," the host explained.

Kevin chose Madelyn to make out with, Rachel to marry and Gianna to murder. While explaining his choices, Kevin said that he chose Madelyn for the "make-out " because of the initial attraction he had for her.

He chose Rachel to "marry" because of his new friendship with her. Kevin explained while choosing Rachel:

"I'm choosing Rachel for "marry" because what's a marriage, but a true friendship, of course? Rachel and I had a great convo today. We found out we have a lot of similarities, and this will solidify that relationship."

Finally, Kevin chose Gianna for "murder". Ever since becoming the top two influencers in the second-ranking, Kevin and Gianna were at odds with each other. They had to decide unanimously whom they wanted to eliminate.

Gianna cornered and convinced Kevin to agree to eliminate his alliance member, Savannah. That's why Kevin chose Gianna for "murder." Kevins's decision was then out and displayed on other The Circle season 7 contestants. Kevin said that Rachel might be surprised by him choosing her to marry.

"She [Rachel] might see that and be like, "Dang. Wow. I guess our chat did go well today," Kevin added.

In The Circle season 7 episode 4, Madelyn and Rachel were given the disruptor mode and they had to swap their profiles. Madelyn had to use Rachel's profile and act as her, and vice versa.

If Madelyn got eliminated using Rachel's profile then she would be out of the game. So she wanted to mend things with contestants who had problems with Rachel. She first chose to have a private conversation with Kevin in episode 5.

Using Rachel's profile, Madelyn apologized to Kevin for misunderstanding him and not giving him a fair chance. Kevin was initially surprised by a private chat invitation from Rachel's profile.

However, he was happy that she apologized to him. He accepted her apology but asked for an explanation of why she was after him, in their previous group chat. Madelyn via Rachel's profile said:

"TBH I was standing up for my #CircleGirls but after my convo with Madelyn yesterday, she spoke really highly of you and I might have not given you a fair chance."

Kevin replied to her explanation and initiated their new friendship.
