The introduction of Homerun Brokers

Making it in Marbella episode 1 began with the introduction of the Homerun Brokers. The founder of the company, Eric Ebbing, the first introducer, explained to viewers what Homerun Brokers is all about and what they do in the firm. He mentioned in his confessional:

"We buy, sell and rent luxury real estate to everyone from rich Swedes to influencers and sports stars, all on the Costa del Sol in Spain."

Eric's wife and Head of Marketing, Jennifer Rocamora, playfully called herself the "real boss" of the company in her confessional. Eric said that he usually came up with the ideas, and Jennifer executed them.

Then, Matías Concha was introduced as the firm's partner and property broker who used to be a soccer player. He changed careers and entered the real estate world. In his confessional, he talked about life in Marbella and added that the place had everything a person wanted from beach clubs to art galleries and that's all he needed.

Meanwhile, Miah van de Bilt was introduced as the third partner in Homerun Brokers who held property broker position. In her confessional, she said that she had "sold the most expensive properties at Homerun".

Episode 1 of Making it in Marbella teased that all the agents had issues with Business Expansion Manager Robert Bazo's work ethic. In his confessional, Robert asserted that his goal was to take over Homerun Brokers and added that everything he did was for the "good of the company".

Rental broker Damla Yaraman shared that she had a tough life and it made her stronger. She did what needed to be done to meet every challenge and got everything she wanted.

Villa Olivia and Casa Jaguar listings

Homerun Brokers' first listing of the Making it in Marbella episode 1 was Villa Olivia. Eric, Matias, and Miah gathered at the villa to discuss their strategy to sell the place.

Villa Olivia had six bedrooms, and seven bathrooms and was spread over 1076 sqm. The property was priced at €9,950,000 ($10,547,000 in US dollars). The commission for the listing was €597,000 ($632,820 in US dollars).

At the start of Making it in Marbella episode 1, Eric said that it was important for them to sell Villa Olivia because the property had been on their listing for five months. They were struggling to find any potential buyers.

Eric decided to give the responsibility of the listing to Robert as he was one of their strongest brokers. If Robert managed to sell the place, he would be promoted and receive a place in the management group.

Meanwhile, Miah had a problem with the decision as she had a feud with Robert and did not like the way he worked. She decided to take matters into her own hands and sell the place herself. The property broker was a bit late and Robert was able to close a deal on the property before her.

Elsewhere in the episode, Robert was busy with his solo listing of Casa Jaguar. The property had four bedrooms, and four bathrooms and was 550 sqm. With the price of €5,000,000 ($5,250,000 in US dollars), the commission for the listing was €300,000 ($318,000 in US dollars).
