Making it in Marbella episode 2 recap
Matias and Miah confront Robert
Making it in Marbella episode 2 began with a meeting between Eric, Miah, Matias, and Robert. The CEO of Homerun Broker Eric wanted to invite Robert to the management team as promised in episode 1. However, Miah stepped in and said that she did not agree with the decision as Robert wasn't ready for the position. She felt that he was unprofessional in his behavior toward his co-workers.
Robert admitted that he was not perfect and had mistakes in the past, however, he felt that the problem was that he never had Matias and Miah's support. He further added that Matias and Miah "always find a way to downplay" his achievements and ambitions, even when he is making money for the company.
Miah responded to the Making it in Marbella star and said:
"I'm telling you that you've been affecting my own morale lately. And that's largely due to the discussions we keep having to have. It's about the way you treat people, and not just me, lots of our colleagues are on my side. And you seem determined not to change. Some people have actually quit because of it."
Miah added in her confessional that communicating with Robert is like "arguing with a brick wall" and if Eric doesn't have a serious chat with him then she doesn't think the situation would get better.
Villa Las Fuentes and Villa Bellini listings
After their argument, Miah and Robert went to their separate listings. Miah showed Villa Las Fuentes, a 7-bedroom, 8-bathroom property spanning 1490 sqm and priced at €23,500,000, with a commission of €940,000. After the showings, Eric called a team meeting, urging everyone to improve and be more consistent. Damla Yaraman felt singled out, but Eric clarified he was addressing the whole team.
Later in the episode, Eric pondered if he still wanted to keep Damla in the company because of her constant leaves and inconsistent attitude toward her role.
Elsewhere in episode 2 of Making it in Marbella, Matías and Jessica Hammargren head off to check out their next listing; Villa Bellini. The property had five bedrooms, and five bathrooms and was 444 sqm. With the price of €3,995,000, the commission for the listing was €239,700. The team hosted a public showing of the villa at the end of the episode.
