The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) season 18 premiered on Bravo on July 11, 2024, and follows the lives of the rich and the famous housewives of OC. The show focuses on the housewives as they deal with their personal and professional lives while handling issues among themselves.
One of the RHOC cast members, Alexis Bellino, and her boyfriend, John Janssen, spoke to US Weekly on October 10, 2024. The two discussed their ongoing feud with Shannon Beador. John said that he and Alexis were receiving a lot of hate for talking against Shannon.
"[Shannon is] Masterful at eliciting sympathy that she doesn’t deserve. I know I’ll take heat for that, but it’s the truth," he said.

Shannon Beador and John Janssen had been dating before ending things in late 2022. However, by November 2023, John began dating Shannon's The Real Housewives of Orange County castmate, Alexis Bellino. Shannon did not take the relationship positively and was quite vocal about it on RHOC Season 18.

During their interview, Alexis Bellino and John Janssen spoke about facing "overwhelming" hate since their feud with Shannon Beador began. The Real Housewives of Orange County couple explained that it was tough for them to deal with the hate they were receiving.
“What’s so difficult is that it’s, like, we’re in a vortex where all of the hate is based on things that aren’t true," they said.
Since John isn't a major part of RHOC, he shared that having "no voice" on the show to defend himself "has been very difficult." He added that his fiancée, Alexis, takes it upon herself and feels responsible for helping him, but often faces criticism as a result. He said that it was a tough "no-win deal" for her.
Alexis chimed in saying that they couldn't "win" in the situation they had with Shannon. However, she noted that it was okay since their feud was over, and they could move on. She added that the couple would now focus on their upcoming wedding ceremony.

Earlier in season 18, The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon was quite open about her thoughts on her ex-John's relationship with Alexis. Meanwhile, Alexis felt that Shannon was crossing a line, constantly talking about her future husband.
In a conversation with Jennifer Pedranti, Tamra Judge, and Katie Ginella, Alexis revealed that she would "pull out" Shannon's unreleased videos if she continued with her attitude.
While discussing Shannon's unreleased videos, John told Us Weekly that he has the videos and has no intention of releasing them.
“I am the one that has the videos and nothing has ever come outta my mouth that I was ever gonna show them to anybody. That was never a possibility,” he said.
Alexis shared that they usually film for 12 hours and thought she was discussing the videos with her The Real Housewives of Orange County castmates "off-camera." She added that she didn't have too many regrets about it since "the truth is the truth" and they had it on their side.
