Meet the cast of Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap, seven South African drag queens for ultimate challenge

The upcoming reality series Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap will premiere on Thursday, July 18, 2024, on Showmax. The show will feature seven drag queens from Cape Town. Viewers of the reality show will witness multi-award-winning drag queens competing against each other. The show will be presented in Gayle, along with subtitles.

Manila Von Teez, BB Vahlour, Emogan Moore, Ina Propriette, Kat Gilardi, Madisson Scarr, and Maxine Wild are among the cast members of Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap.

Showmax describes the show as:

"Told in Gayle with subtitles, it’s an eye-opening and jaw-dropping introduction to a world of extreme transformations, unforgettable fashion, warring houses, opposing queen mothers, wig-gates, and sisterhood."

Manila Von Teez

Manila Von Teez is the first queen of Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap, and their pronouns are He/They. However, for the drag, they are She/Her. Manila Von Teez is a 33-year-old drag queen from Elsies River. Being a drag queen for over 14 years, she has won many awards and pageants, such as Miss Gay Cape Town 2014. She was also the runner-up on SA’s Got Talent. It made her the first-ever drag queen on the show. Manila designs her clothes via the label Haus of Vjorn.


BB Vahlour

BB Vahlour, 23, (She/Her) also goes by Brandon Samuels. She is the mother of the House of Vahlour. After choreographing for Emogan’s show, she is still learning more about drag. However, she has already been featured in prestigious magazines like Vogue. Last year, BB Vahlour was also the runner-up at Miss Sovereign Western Cape. She works as a packaging operator from nine to five.


Emogan Moore

Emogan Moore, 33, also goes by Fabian van Schlkwyk. Emogan’s pronouns are He/They. He has been associated with drag for 13 years and won various pageants. Emogan Moore is also a primary school's admin clerk and netball coach. He is an openly gay man and wishes that he could create a safe space for all the queer children in the community as well as at his workplace.


Ina Propriette

29 years ol Ina Propriette, also known as Wade Khoosal, is also a contestant in Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap. His pronouns are He/Him. He has been associated with the drag world for five years and won Miss Sovereign Western Cape in 2023. He has also been featured in Vogue magazine. He enjoys the ballroom culture in Cape Town.


Kat Gilardi

Kat Gilardi, also known as Carl Richards, is a 45-year-old drag queen who will be featured in the show. His pronouns are He/ They. He is married to Errol Stroebel. He might be the most experienced drag queen on Beaulah: Queens van die Kaap. He has been crowned the winner of many pageants, including Miss Cape Town Pride and many other competitions. Kat Gilardi is also associated with the singing group Diva’s Only and is the director of Mr and Ms Sovereign Western Cape.


Madisson Scarr (She/Her)

Madisson Scarr, 26, is a trans woman. Her pronouns are She/ Her. She is a professional dancer. Madisson came across drag during the pandemic. She is the mother of Haus of Scarr. Some viewers might know her from the Expresso Morning Show featured on SABC 3.


Maxine Wild

Maxine Wild, who uses She/Her pronouns, is a 28-year-old drag queen who also goes by Gillian Archer. Associated with drag for more than a decade, Maxine won Miss Gay Western Cape and Miss Cape Town Pride in 2019. She co-owns drag house Drag Cartel. Maxine’s day job includes being a makeup artist and a hairstylist. By night, she performs drag across South Africa.
