Sister Wives season 19 episode 18, titled Money is the Root of All Evil, premiered on TLC on January 19, 2025. The episode featured a conversation between Meri and his friend Jen as the two discussed the former's deserving share in Coyote Pass property.

Meri mused that she had provided an important financial share while buying the property, however, she wasn't getting enough share when it came to dividing it.

Moreover, she chimed that most of the family fund went to support other kids' education and cars while she had to take care of her kid Leon's expenses from her own pocket.

Meanwhile, Kody felt that Meri just had one kid so she didn't need that much share of the Coyote Pass property. He even added Meri could complain all she wanted about her deserving share, implying that he won't be discussing the matter anytime soon.

“We had 18 kids to take care of. You know, that’s just water under the bridge. I don’t even want to discuss it. Meri can do all the complaining about whatever happened that she wants,” he said in his confessional.

Sister Wives star Meri Brown notes that she wasn't getting equal share of the property and the family fund

At the beginning of Sister Wives season 19 episode 18, Meri met up with her friend Jen to talk about her share of the Coyote Pass property.

During their conversation, Meri revealed that Kody had informed her she would only be allotted two acres of the property, reasoning that she didn’t need much since she only had one child.

Jen criticized the split based on that reasoning as Meri had paid equally when Kody was buying the Coyote Pass property in Flagstaff, Arizona.

“I don’t know if they don’t remember, like, when our funds were all together and those family funds that I helped with went to the kids’ college, went to property. It went to everything. We had a family fund,” Meri explained.

Jen pointed out that although Meri contributed equally to the family fund, most of the money was allocated to covering other children’s college expenses and car payments, leaving Leon excluded.

Meri agreed, adding that she personally handled Leon’s college and car expenses without relying on the family fund.

In her confessional, the Sister Wives star said that while she didn't know how much of the family fund went to supporting "other kids’ school or cars", she clearly knew that it didn't helped her with her kid's expenses.

She added that even though she was with Kody the longest, she didn't even get an equal share of the money. She further reiterated Kody's reasoning that she didn't need equal share because she just had one child.

Meanwhile, Kody explained the same in his confessional, adding that Meri could complain all she wanted. Kody even noted that he won't discuss the matter with his ex-wife.

“I put a lot into this marriage emotionally, financially [and] personally. I didn’t get anything out of it as far as, like, alimony or whatever. And I’m not looking for that. So I think it’s fair [I get] the property investment. I think it’s fair that I walk away with that at least,” Meri said in her confessional.

Later in the episode, Kody met with a realtor to list their Coyote Pass property, however, he didn't inform his ex wives Janelle and Meri. Meanwhile, Janelle and Meri consulted separate attorneys to fight for their deserving share of the property.
