My 600-Lb. Life 2025: New trailer gives a glimpse of season 13
What to expect in Season 13?
Season 13 will have a new group of participants, all with their own struggles associated with their obesity. The heart of the show's format has not changed: patients coming to Dr. Now must lose weight on very strict diets, exercise, and in many cases, weight-loss surgery.
On December 24, 2024, TLC released the trailer for the first episode of My 600-Lb. Life season 13. The episode centers on Jonathan Colp, aged 36 from Macedonia, who was once the epitome of success as an EMT first responder. However, food addiction crept up, and he became unable to complete mundane activities or even get out of his room.
This also created physical drawbacks due to his weight: his family was also at a financial loss since he made his wife work full-time. As stated in TLC, Jonathan must have to address his eating to break this vicious cycle for him to have control back in his life.
While specific names have not been fully revealed, the preview hints at a diverse group of individuals with unique backgrounds and experiences. The challenges of adhering to Dr. Now’s weight-loss plan, navigating emotional eating, and dealing with personal issues will continue to be central themes in this season.
