Big Brother is currently airing season 26, which wrapped up week one on July 25. By the end of the week, the series witnessed its first elimination, which sent Matt Hardeman home. Despite his short journey on the CBS show, Matt found himself in the eye of the storm as he and Angela Murray, who was Head of the House, feuded, and the latter publicly slammed Matt for his behavior.

During the heated conversation, Angela commented on Matt's physical appearance and called him "Crazy Eyes." Matt recently addressed the feud and Angela's comment in conversation with US Weekly. He said his eyes were "just brown." He also pointed out the racial undertone of the comment.

"At the end of the day, I don't think we should comment on people's eyes that are of certain ethnicity. My eyes are just brown. They're not even that unique in my opinion... I've never had eyes be a topic of discussion, ever, until now," Matt said during the July 25 conversation.

During the recent conversation with US Weekly, Matt explained things from his point of view and went into detail about what happened during his time on the CBS show.

Matt said that Angela came down clapping, and everyone hoped that she was going to start the day on a better note. He added that the Big Brother season 26 houseguests knew that being "HoH was definitely wearing on her mentally" and recalled her struggling in the house.

Matt said seeing Angela clap, he also started clapping. Angela called out his name, and he thought she was going to invite the Big Brother season 26 contestant to ance with her.

"I went from thinking I was gonna be called to bust down to, 'You're dumb and you're ugly," Matt added.

Chiming in on her rant, Matt praised her speech and said that her "disses were creative" and "lyrical." He recalled laughing to himself since someone else's grandmother (Angela) told him to "shove" his words because they were "crap."

He also spoke about his time on the CBS show in a conversation with Entertainment Weekly. He elaborated on Angela's 'Crazy Eyes' comment and said that he had never been called that before.

Further commenting on Angela's possible reaction she could have when she watches herself on television, Matt said that he hoped there would be "some learning lessons" for her.

"There hit a point for a lot of people in the house where people were nervous to walk in certain areas where she was, and her presence was causing some fear in some people, and that was just outside of me. And I even felt guilt, like I contributed to that feeling for other people, but I do not want to be somebody who gets personal and throws out character attacks," Matt added.

For the unversed, ahead of Week 1's nominations, Angela and Matt had a conversation in private, after which Angela claimed the latter "threatened" her about putting him on the block and said he would go after her if she went after him.

While none of the other contestants could attest to her story, the Big Brother season 26 contestant called Matt out publicly, which shocked him since, according to him, they had resolved their issues.

"Matt, Matt, Matt, you must be so proud of yourself. I mean, really. I am so flattered that I am a threat to you. I am so frickin' flattered. Thank you," Angela said in Wednesday's episode.

Big Brother season 26 airs episodes every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
