After his performance ended, Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, and Howie Mandel gave him a standing ovation, while Sofia Vergara gave him a round of applause. Heidi was the first judge to express how she felt about the performance. She said she wanted to be his "girl," referring to the song Alex sang.

The America's Got Talent season 19 judge added that Alex was a "gem" and he polished himself up. She added that he was "sparkly on that stage." Sofia told Alex she thought he was a "star."
