"A damn fool"- Love After Lockup fans react to Shonta's pregnancy

Episode 37 of Love After Lockup season 5 was released on September 6. It saw True coming back to Shonta after she told him she was pregnant with twins. He apologized for talking to other women while Shonta was all in on him and said he wanted to make up for it. He said he wanted to be there for the children.

Shonta said she wouldn't trust his words until he acted on them. She let him cook for her and said she was going to take time to trust him again. In a confessional, she said she wanted to be respected so that things like love and trust could follow.

Fans of Love After Lockup believed that True came back only because Shonta's address was on his parole sheet, and because she spent thousands on his legal procedures. Some fans criticized Shonta for having a child with a person who she couldn't trust because he disrespected her.

"Shontae a damn fool for being pregnant by that man," one fan said.

"I don’t believe Shonta really pregnant," another fan said.

"True showing up at Shonta's house with food after learning she's pregnant with twins...3 months after they broke up with zero communication," another person wrote.

"I bet you if you wasn’t pregnant Shonta, you would have talked to someone else. Cut the s**t. And if you didn’t, it’s Because you don’t go anywhere," wrote one fan.

Most Love After Lockup fans criticized Shonta for taking True back despite bad behavior from him in the past.

"I can't believe Shonta let True get her pregnant," another person commented.

True and Shonta's meeting in episode 37 of Love After Lockup season 5

When True came over to Shonta's house in episode 37, he came with some flowers and groceries and said that was because he wanted them to have a cook-off. Shonta, still mad at True for talking to his sister's friend in his gym, told him she didn't want to cook but said he could.

She took to a Love After Lockup confessional and said she wasn't going to be easy on him and take him back instantly. She wanted him to work on things and win her back.

True told her he was ready to work it with her because he wanted to be there for the kids. He also apologized for whatever he did to hurt her and said he was here to go that "extra mile" to be with her.

The Love After Lockup star then asked him if he was talking to someone when they had broken up. He said he did but that only made him realize his love for Shonta. He said:

"The grass is always greener on the other side".

Shonta said that bothered her because she didn't talk to anyone in his absence. He responded he just wanted to see what it was like to see other people. He apologized again and asked for an opportunity from Shonta to show her he was capable of winning her.

She said she liked spending time with him, but their relationship wasn't in the best position, so she would want to work on it.
