"A sweet blindside" — Big Brother fans react to Lisa's elimination from season 26

Big Brother season 26 aired its latest episode on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The three nominated houseguests, Lisa Weintraub, Angela Murray, and Tucker Des Lauriers, were given a last chance to take themselves off the block by winning the BB AI Arena competition.

Tucker outperformed the others and won the challenge. He gained immunity and was able to evade elimination. Consequently, host Julie Chen Moonves asked the two contestants in danger to campaign for themselves to convince the others not to vote against them.

Lisa was eliminated from the Big Brother house after receiving 11 votes in her name. After she left the house, she revealed to Julie that she felt blindsided by the result. She added that the consensus narrated to her was different from what unfolded.

Fans took to X to react to her elimination, with many claiming that they were upset to see Lisa leave. However, others believed that she fell into the trap that was created by the houseguests.

"Well….that was a sweet blindside. I’m so glad Angela is safe but Lisa didn’t deserve to leave like that #bb26," a fan wrote.

Some Big Brother season 26 fans were upset to see Lisa leave the show as they were fond of her gameplay.

Viewers of the CBS show were surprised to see that almost the entire Big Brother house was against Lisa. Kenney was the only cast member who voted against Angela.

Big Brother season 26 alum Lisa revealed the plan was to evict Angela

Lisa was left speechless after the results of the vote were announced. Tucker, Rubina, Quinn, Joseph, Brooklyn, Cam, Leah, Kimo, T'Kor, Makensy, and Cedric voted against Lisa, whereas Kenney voted against Angela.

Angela was relieved to hear that the houseguests saved her. However, Lisa failed to internalize the outcome. Without reacting to the vote, she quietly exited the house after bidding farewell to the cast members. Meanwhile, Angela thanked them for letting her stay another week.

While speaking with Julie, Lisa revealed that the plan was to evict Angela. She and the other houseguests agreed that her role in the elimination would be to prevent Angela from winning any competition to earn immunity. Therefore, when she heard the vote's result, she claimed that "no one was speaking the truth" to her.

"It just shows that no one really had my back and no one was really speaking the truth to me, which is really shocking," said Lisa.

Lisa was nominated for elimination in the previous week as well. However, she took herself off the block by winning the Power of Veto. Matt Hardeman was put in Lisa's place and was evicted from the Big Brother house.
