"A travesty" — Big Brother season 26 fans divided over Brooklyn's elimination

Big Brother season 26 aired episode 18 on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Brooklyn, Cam, and Chelsie, the three houseguests nominated for elimination by the Head of Household (HoH) Tucker, were given one last opportunity to secure their position in the house for the week.

The nominees battled it out at the AI Arena competition to gain immunity and take themselves off the block. Chelsie outperformed the others and won the AI Arena Challenge, sending Cam and Brooklyn straight to the live eviction round. The contestants then started voting for who they would want to see ousted from the Big Brother house.

Brooklyn was eliminated from the show after receiving the majority of votes. While the houseguests celebrated their decision, fans of the show were divided over the results. Some cheered the cast member's eviction, but others were upset to see such a strong contender leave the house. They took to X to express their thoughts on the recent elimination ceremony.

Some Big Brother fans who were unimpressed with Brooklyn's gameplay were happy to see her exit the house.

On the contrary, many fans felt that Brooklyn deserved to stay. They wished she remained long enough to be eligible for The Jury where she could vote for the winner of Big Brother.

Eight houseguests voted against Big Brother season 26 star Brooklyn

After Chelsie won the AI Arena competition, host Julie Chen Moonves asked Brooklyn and Cam to campaign and convince the others to let them stay in the house.

While Cam did not do much, Brooklyn took the chance to try to expose Tucker. She claimed that as long as Tucker was present, everyone else was playing for "second place." She pleaded to let her stay so she could help them "play Big Brother." She promised to "go up every week" to get the "big bad wolf out."

"I've got a whole house of enemies. So, keep me in this house and you're safe," said Brooklyn.

The Big Brother cast member vowed to send Tucker on the block if they decided to keep her in the game. Despite her pleas, the houseguests cast their votes against Brooklyn, ousting her from the house.

Chelsie was the sole player who voted against Cam. Leah, Quinn, Makensy, Rubina, Kimo, T'Kor, Angela, and Joseph voted against Brooklyn. With eight votes in her name, Brooklyn bid farewell to the Big Brother house.
