What happened in the Wall competition in Big Brother season 26 episode 16?
In Big Brother season 26 episode 16, which aired on Sunday, August 18, 2024, the cast participated in a wall competition to decide who would be the next HoH. As part of the Fire Wall, the contestants had to stay on the wall for as long as they could.
Angela was the first contestant to fall off around the three-minute mark, while Kimo dropped out at around the five-minute mark. Joseph was the next one down two minutes after Kimo, while T'Kor stayed on for 14 minutes. Both Makensy and Brooklyn fell next.
It was down to Tucker, Rubina, Cam and Quinn but Rubina dropped at the 22-minute mark, while Cam went down almost 30 minutes after the competition started. Tucker and Quinn were the last two standing.
The two had been at odds since Tucker tried to rally the troops to eliminate the latter from Big Brother season 26. However, during the competition, Tucker told the season 26 contestant he wouldn't nominate him if he won. Quinn did the same, and the two decided not to compromise by giving up for the other player.
Ultimately, Tucker won the task and became the HoH. Before the nomination ceremony, he discussed his plan of action with several cast members including Quinn, who was his previous target. He told the cast member he didn't want to send him home but he would nominate him as a "pawn" to eliminate another player.
At the ceremony, he named Quinn, Cam and Brooklyn as his nominees and explained that he had one set target and that the other two would help him achieve his desired outcome.
Fans of the show took to social media to chime in on the situation and were divided by Tucker's gameplay.
Big Brother season 26 airs episodes on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on CBS.
