"Absolutely wholesome"— Love is Blind UK fans react to Freddie asking Jack to be his best man

Love is Blind UK aired episodes 5—9 on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, and saw the couples participate in the next social experiment stage. During the latest episodes, the cast members lived together and met each others' friends and family as they got closer to their wedding day.

Freddie and Catherine, one of the couples on the show visited the male cast member's family where Catherine was introduced to Jack, Freddie's younger brother. During the segment, he asked Jack to be his best man at the couple's wedding.

Love is Blind UK: Catherine meets up with Freddie's family

In Love is Blind UK episode 7, Catherine and Freddie made their way to the male cast member's family and were greeted with enthusiasm. In a confessional, Freddie stated that his family meant a lot to him and so did their opinion.

He added that his concerns about her might get "squashed" once his family approved of her. While talking to Jack, his mother recalled asking where Freddie was and Jack said he was on an airplane.

Freddie asked his family members how they felt about him and Catherine getting married and his mother said she didn't know that would happen. She reminded the Love is Blind UK stars that it was "the biggest thing" they would do in life and said she hoped it was "forever."

As the group interacted and Catherine showed Freddie's family the engagement ring, Betsy-Dora, Freddie's sister asked Jack if he would attend the wedding. Speaking for Jack, Chris, Freddie's father said he was probably thinking how fast everything happened.

"There's a question that I'd like to ask Jack. Would you like to be my best man?" Freddie asked.

As the Love is Blind UK star got up to hug his brother, his mother said that Jack didn't understand him but would know what to do on the wedding day.

"Asking Jack to be my best man means absolutely everything to me. I look after him, you know? I've cared for him. But he's made me the person that I am today. He's everything," Freddie said in a confessional.

Previously on the show, Freddie had spoken to Catherine about Jack and told her he had Down Syndrome. At the time, he also told her that if anything were to happen to his mother, Freddie would take care of Jack and his needs.

Watching the episode back, Love is Blind UK fans praised Freddie for his close relationship with Jack and for asking him to be his best man.
