“Acting so dumb!”— Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans react to Marques hitting on Mel

Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 10 aired on January 4. Titled, A Marsoldier vs. a Melometer, the episode saw a conversation between Maurice and Mel, after the previous episode saw the former complaining about Mel's tendencies to look for faults in people. The highlight of the episode was Mel's business event, Mimosas with Melody, which several cast members attended.

Marques, Tricia's ex-husband, also attended the event. He brought Mel a flower bouquet and handed it to her mother, telling her that her daughter was beautiful, while Mel was standing there.

Later in the episode, when Mel was limping as her feet hurt because of her shoes, Marques asked her if he could rub her feet. She turned him down. This was when Marsau said that he heard Marques made Mel blush, and that he was attracted to her.

Mel made it clear that she wasn't going to date anyone in the Love & Marriage: Huntsville circle. Marques said he wanted to help with her Mimosas with Melody's initiative in a non-romantic way, to which Mel asked him to write a formal mail to her team.

Fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville took to X to react to this exchange.

"Marques is acting so dumb! Why would Mel want to date his silly *ss??!! On another note, Marsau will always be a fan of Mel," a fan said.

"I can already see future scenes with Mel and Marques being pure comedy and a life lesson of when people try to date outside of their bandwidth," said another.

Some fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville called Marques out on not having the money to take her out on a date.

"Marques wanna take Mel out? With what money?" an X user wrote.

"Marques can’t even afford gas money… Melody would have to pay for the date," another user wrote.

"Marques crazy as hell. He truly lacks self-awareness cause if you think Trish has you crying you ain't ready for Melody. Dude would be in a straight jacket," commented one.

"So now Marques is hitting on Mel? Out of all the women in Huntsville he hit on her? That’s interesting since Martell was trying to get with Trish…," another wrote.

What else went down at Mel's business event on Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 10?

Seeing Marques come to the event with a bouquet, Trish, who was sitting at a distance, took to a confessional to say that he was always trying to stand out and do "weird sh*t". Marques then went to Trish and Ken's table to say hi to them. Maurice and Kim were there too, so Maurice asked if they solved their issues, referring to issues surrounding Tricia's and his divorce and co-parenting.

Marques said that they were working on it, then excused himself saying he was going to take his energy out from the table. Ken told Maurice that Tricia and he knew they weren't going to hear from him for a long time again. He also revealed that Marques was texting Tricia stuff, like:

"Oh, I still don't like that f*cking n*gga," referring to Ken.

Maurice and Kimmie were shocked to hear they got messages like that. Ken said that his younger self would beat up Marques for doing this stuff, but he wouldn't now.
