"Already over Daisy and Gary"— Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans criticize cast members' emotional conversation

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 premiered this week on Monday, October 7, 2024. The segment saw several cast members including Gary King and Daisy Kelliher return to the screens.

Daisy told the cameras that she didn't want to be around Gary King since he didn't respect her relationship with Collin in season 4. However, in episode 1, she confronted the cast member about not being there for her after she and Collin broke up.

Fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 reacted to the conversation online and were displeased with the cast members. One wrote on X:

"I needed you"— Daisy confronts Gary for not being there for her after her breakup with Collin in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5

In Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 1, Daisy expressed not wanting to be around Gary King. She told the cameras that in season 4 the cast member had made her life "very difficult" and that she was unsure how he would behave in the latest season.

She said that she wasn't looking forward to working with the Bravo celebrity again. However, later in the episode, the old friends and colleagues the aftermath of season 4, including Daisy and Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum, Collin's breakup.

She told the reality star she needed a friend after she and Collin broke up. Daisy added that she was "incredibly low and very lonely."

"All I wanted was for you to call me. I needed you," Daisy said.

She further criticized the reality star for ignoring her when she asked to speak to him as she cried. Daisy clarified that she wasn't upset with him because he was angry with her or because he had issues with her.

Gary justified his actions and said he needed time to process what had happened. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 female cast member said that she never "held" any of that against him but added he left her on her own to "figure it out."

Gary King apologized to Daisy for being a bad friend. While Daisy appreciated the apology, she told the cameras that the male cast member didn't know apologizing meant "acting differently in the future." She added that she knew it wouldn't be the last time Gary hurt her.
