Big Brother season 26 is currently underway and aired episode 7 on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. The segment saw Angela Murray at odds with yet another cast member.
As Angela was in the kitchen, she saw T'Kor, Cam, and Chelsie sitting by the hammocks, and pointed them out to Quinn, and said "That's the group." Her mentioning the group made Quinn believe that she was telling him they needed to go against a particular set of people.
However, in a confessional, Angela noted the group consisted of people she was either already on good terms with or people she wanted to work with.
Quinn later told T'Kor about the conversation, which led to a disagreement between her and Angela since the three people the latter clubbed together were all black. While T'Kor understood that Angela didn't mean it a certain way, she wanted the Big Brother season 26 cast member how her words came across.
Fans of the show took to social media to react to the conversation and sided with T'Kor. One person wrote on X:
"Oh nah T’kor was one hundred percent right in what she was saying to Angela and Angela played victim #BB26"
"T’kor [with absolutely no accusatory tone or malice in her voice]: hey angela dont make blanket statements... Angela [playing the victim with fake tears]: I AM NOT A RACIST, I AM NOT BEING RACIST #BB26," a fan commented.
Big Brother season 26 fans felt Angela should have listened to T'Kor instead of crying:
"Angela should have actually listened to T'kor instead of crying and playing victim. Because saying "that's the group" was so vague. It sounds crazy! You left the door wide open for it to be misconstrued. That's what T'kor was trying to tell her. #bb26," a person wrote.
"The way T’Kor was just trying to have a conversation and clear things up by expressing her POV and Angela immediately turned on her victim WW tears as soon as”race” got bought up. #bb26," a fan commented.
"Y’all, T’Kor went in there with such grace. And Angela did what so many of my fellow white people do. She heard a person of color bring up race and she started crying and played the victim. #bigbrother2024 #BigBrother26 #bb26," a tweet read.
Big Brother season 26 fans praised T'Kor for the way she handled the situation with Angela:
"I was not expecting T’Kor to stand 10 toes down like that against Angela but baby, the smile and jaw drop on my face when she did #BB26," a person wrote.
"All T’kor was trying to do was help Angela realize how it can be perceived when she says something like that, she never called her racist or wasn’t insinuating that… I feel like T’kor could tell from an outside perspective that it looked questionable and was trying to help #bb26," a fan commented.
What happened between Angela and T'Kor in Big Brother season 26 episode 7?
In Big Brother season 26 episode 7, Angela pointed out a group of people to Quinn in an attempt to tell him that she wanted them to work with them. However, the latter thought that the houseguest meant that they could be a potential threat and since he was in cahoots with T'Kor, he shared Angela's comment with her.
Later, Angela asked to talk to Quinn privately and the two discussed the situation. He explained that he shared the information with T'Kor to check in and see if she and Angela were "still good." As the conversation continued, T'Kor, joined the chat and asked the Big Brother season 26 cast members what happened.
Angela explained the situation to T'Kor and said that she spoke to Quinn in confidence about T'Kor and a few other people.
"I went into the kitchen, and I basically said, 'look out the kitchen window, that's the group,' I didn't say 'watch out', I didn't say anything awful at all," Angela added,
Big Brother star T'Kor asked what Quinn did and Angela sobbed and said he "totally broke" her heart. She slammed Quinn and said that he shouldn't have said anything. However, T'Kor pointed out that Angela said it and asked what she meant.
Angela explained that when she saw the Big Brother season 26 group, it was the group she wanted to be a part of. Quinn interjected and said he thought it was a group she wanted him to be nervous about. T'Kor wanted to explain to Angela how her statements could be interpreted and the undertones they had.
"I need you to understand, considering the past seasons, season 23, season 24, when a group of people of color, or a group of black people gather — I'm not saying you meant that," T'Kor said before being interrupted by Angela.
Angela started crying and asked her not to "do that." The houseguest added not to put that out there since she loved T'Kor and that she didn't mean it like that.
"What I'm trying to make you understand is that that's how it can be interpreted on our front when you say a blanket statement like that," T'Kor added.
Seeing Angela continue to cry, T'Kor walked away. Fans of the show reacted to the exchange online and sided with T'Kor for taking a stand. They slammed Angela for not understanding the cast member's point of view.
Big Brother season 26 will air another episode on Thursday, August 1, 2024 on CBS.
