Season 3 of 1000-lb Best Friends aired its finale, The Good, The Bad and the Hungry, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. In the episode, Meghan clashed with Vannessa before her final weigh-in, upset about being called out for not losing enough weight. Meghan believed her final weight would reflect the effort she had put in and it did. She had lost 41.2 pounds, exceeding Dr. Procter's expectations.
Earlier in the episode, Meghan told the cameras that she followed a strict diet plan and weight-loss routine ever since Dr. Procter asked her to lose at least 30 to 40 pounds. Vannessa, who recently received revision surgery, compared herself to Meghan. Upon hearing this, the latter got angry, since she felt that her hard work was getting discredited.
Later, when Meghan headed to Dr. Procter's chamber for her final weigh-in, she felt nervous and confident at the same time. When the results showed that she had successfully reduced her weight from 290 pounds to 248.8 pounds, she became emotional.
1000-lb Best Friends fans took to X to comment on Meghan's weight loss. While some congratulated her for reaching her target, many felt she could have lost more weight.
"Awesome that Meghan lost weight!!" a fan wrote.
"Good for Meghan!" another fan commented.
"Meghan should have hit her weight loss goal a long time ago!" a netizen tweeted.
Many 1000-lb Best Friends fans congratulated Meghan for losing weight.
"Congratulations Meghan, your hard work paid off!!!" a user reacted.
"Dr. Procter is proud of Meghan’s hard work! She deserves that revision surgery!!" a person commented.
"Meghan please put in the work after this next revision surgery - we all want you to succeed…" another fan commented.
However, some 1000-lb Best Friends fans said Meghan should have reached her target earlier, claiming she was not doing the necessary work.
"Meghan should've met her goal years ago. Vannessa has blown by her and met her goal," one user posted.
"Meghan u ain’t doing a damn thing to lose weight if u did it would show by now," a person reacted.
"Meghan needs a trip to Houston. Dr. Proctor has been too nice in terms of her goal weight," another netizen commented.
"You killed it" — 1000-lb Best Friends' Dr. Procter congratulates Meghan on her feat
Before stepping onto the scale, Meghan spoke to the cameras and said that she was "freaking proud" of herself for putting in the work regardless of the results. The 1000-lb Best Friends star became emotional when she saw that she had successfully reduced her weight from 290 pounds to 248.8 pounds.
Dr. Procter was pleased by the results and congratulated Meghan, saying:
"You killed it. That's awesome."
A teary-eyed Meghan told Dr. Procter that although difficult, she did everything possible to reach her target. In a confessional, she revealed that she was "beyond ecstatic" and could not believe that she had lost almost 42 pounds.
Dr. Procter shared that he rooted for Meghan throughout her journey and knew she had it in her to lose her weight. As a result, when the scale showed 248.8 pounds, he knew it was one of Meghan's biggest victories.
Although he applauded Meghan's achievement, he reminded her that it was only the beginning and more was still to be done. There was also the risk of Meghan regaining the lost weight. However, based on the 1000-lb Best Friends star's efforts, Dr. Procter approved her for revision surgery.
"I did it," Meghan said.
