"Be real for ONE SECOND" — Big Brother fans react to Angela calling out Makensy's "fake crying"

Big Brother season 26 released its latest episode on Thursday, October 3, 2024. It was a two-hour-long episode that saw the BB Comics Veto competition and ceremony, and a live eviction. Makensy won the Veto and decided against using it.

Before her nominees, Kimo and Rubina, headed into the elimination round, host Julie Chen Moonves surprised the final five houseguests with video messages from their family members. Soon, they began voting, and with two votes against him, Kimo was eliminated from the Big Brother house.

In the meantime, viewers were introduced to Angela, T'Kor, Quinn, and Leah at the jury house. Together they watched their evictions and several other competitions, judging the gameplay of the remaining contestants. They also discussed interpersonal relationships and who they saw as the show's winner.

In one episode segment, Angela watched Makensy shed tears while making a difficult decision as the Head of Household (HoH). She immediately criticized Makensy, claiming she was pretending to cry. Big Brother fans took to X to react to Angela's comment.

"Not Angela trying to come for Makensy for fake crying. Be real for ONE SECOND," a fan wrote.

"When Angela said MK was low budget acting after fake crying daily, I almost choked on my water," another fan commented.

"Angela calling out fake tears is crazy," a netizen tweeted.

Big Brother fans were shocked to hear Angela talk about "fake crying" because she was also known for her emotional outbursts and frequent breakdowns inside the house. The houseguests and viewers often claimed that she pretended to cry to get a sympathetic response from the others.

"Angela you have the fakest tears," a user reacted.

"Angela is one to talk about someone else’s fake tears omggg," a person commented.

"Angela is really the only one qualified to call out the fake tears," another fan wrote.

At the same time, many Big Brother fans criticized Angela for her comment.

"The nerve of #BBAngela to say #BBMakensy was low budget acting with her fake tears when Angela was crying damn near every episode as a manipulation to stay in the game!" another netizen commented.

Big Brother star Angela slammed Makensy for her "lowest budget acting of the season"

After the four cast members Quinn, Leah, T'Kor, and Angela gathered at the jury house, they rewatched some competitions and eliminations. They also analyzed how each of the remaining houseguests approached the game. The jurors were impressed by Makensy's dominance in the competitions.

Even then, when Makensy appeared to cry in one scene, Angela claimed her tears were "fake." The Big Brother jury member said:

"Oh look at her fake tears. That was the lowest budget acting of the season."

Leah agreed with Angela's opinion, saying, "I'm not sold." Soon, they discussed Chelsie's gameplay and her HoH reign. Her confident and calculated gameplay made her seem like a strong competitor for the show's winner.

Fans were surprised by Angela's comment about Makensy because she was deemed one of the most emotional players in Big Brother season 26. Angela had her first aggressive outburst in the show's first week when she called Matt Hardeman "crazy eyes," convinced he was secretly plotting to sabotage her game.

Later in the season, Angela broke down in the diary room when Brooklyn and the other houseguests ate the charcuterie board that she received as part of her HoH package. The Big Brother cast member got emotional every time she was nominated for eviction.

During T'Kor's HoH reign, Angela was moved to tears out of fear of being nominated. Although T'Kor reassured her she was not her target, Angela struggled to shake off her nervousness. Angela had another meltdown when Kimo confessed he voted to keep Tucker in an elimination when Angela was the other nominee.

Consequently, when Zingbot entered the house as Jankie's world was shut down, he commented on Angela's frequent meltdowns. He sang:

"Angela is melting down, melting down, melting down, Angela is melting down, can't stop crying."

As a result, fans were taken aback when they heard Angela call out Makensy for her "fake tears."
