"Be serious" — Sister Wives fans criticize Kody for thinking Janelle would want to reconcile with him

Sister Wives released a new episode on Sunday, November 3, 2024, featuring Janelle and Kody's conversation about the property on Coyote Pass. Janelle explained they needed to pay the property off to avoid losing it to the authorities. However, seeing Kody's lack of initiative, Janelle wondered if Kody would buy her out instead.

Kody, meanwhile, had other plans for their conversation. He asked Janelle what would happen to their relationship if she left the property, to which Janelle replied that there was no future for them because of their incompatibility. Despite that, Kody insisted they delve deep into the dynamics of their relationship and consider getting back together. Meanwhile, Janelle believed it was a diversion tactic.

After Janelle insisted they continue to walk their separate ways, Kody became silent. He jokingly mentioned getting into an "affair" with her, with the property as motivation but Janelle confidently dismissed his idea of working things out between them.

Sister Wives fans took to X to criticize Kody for considering a reconciliation. They claimed Kody was trying to find a way to get out of paying Janelle.

Sister Wives star Janelle decides to take legal action against Kody if he does not settle with their shared property

In the latest episode of Sister Wives, Janelle and Kody came face-to-face to discuss the payment of their shared property on Coyote Pass. Janelle urged her ex-husband to take the matter seriously and think about making the "balloon payment" due in three to four months. However, Kody refused to understand the urgency of the situation. He believed they had plenty of time and that he had everything under control.

Meanwhile, Janelle revealed they might lose the property if they failed to meet the deadline.

"We signed a really bad contract. We were not smart," Janelle added.

The Sister Wives star asked Kody if he would buy her out, to which he replied, "You jumped to the end. What about us?...What about you and me?" Janelle was surprised by the comment and stated they did not "even exist in the same universe anymore." She explained she was happy with her present situation and could not see a "long-term thing" for them.

During a confessional, Janelle revealed they had "so many conversations" about their relationship, where she confirmed that they were "done" and "not compatible." Despite that, Kody insisted they discuss their dynamics. It forced Janelle to wonder if it was Kody's "diversion tactic" to avoid talking about their shared property.

Kody explained he kept thinking about resurrecting their relationship because he felt guilty about failing his other marriages. However, Janelle rejected the Sister Wives star's offer, claiming his plea was not emotionally driven.

Seeing Kody's lack of initiative, Janelle decided to "lawyer up," unwilling to sit and wait for Kody to be proactive. At the end of their conversation, Kody confessed reconciliation was a "pipe dream." He had only raised the topic to try and mend his relationship with his children.
