During the proceedings, Tigerlily told the cameras that she didn't know anything that was going on. She added that she was in a foreign country without family or friends and could put herself in a difficult situation.

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days took to X to criticize Tigerlily for not researching Adnan's culture and religion before getting married. One person said that she was "being lazy" for not doing the research even though she had "ample time to learn about Islam."

"Tigerlily had ample time to learn about Islam in all the time she was talking to Adnan before she flew to Jordan. I mean the plane ride alone provided ample time to learn something about the religion, it's called being lazy," the fan wrote.

In 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 7 episode 3, titled, Sound and the Fury, Adnan and Tigerlily tied the knot according to Adnan's religion and culture. At the wedding, they sat together for their Nikah as one of Adnan's friends translated what was happening for the female cast member.

Aliaa, Adnan's mother commented on his and Tigerlily's marriage in a confessional and said she was "shocked" when her son told her. She expressed her surprise at her son deciding to get married quickly as she pointed out that Tigerlily was from a "foreign country." Aliaa said that while she supported the couple, Tigerlily looked scared when she first met her.

After Tigerlily recited her vows, she told the cameras that she didn't understand what was happening. She added that she wasn't following everything that was going on and had no idea about the Muslim marriage contract.

"I'm definitely not following all that's going on. I don't know anything about the Muslim marriage contract. I'm in a foreign country with people that I don't know and no family or friends here with me. I definitely could be putting myself in a really bad situation."
