“Being nosy”- Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans criticize Mel for asking Kimmi about Maurice's DUI case

Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 5 was released on November 30. Titled Big Diss Energy, the episode focused on the tiff between Martell and Marsau. It also saw Mel questioning Kimmi about Maurice's DUI and his court case.

Maurice was arrested earlier this year for driving under the influence. After his arrest, he bailed himself out with $5000, according to the reports at Yahoo. Since then, he has been in a court case that was still ongoing when Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 was being filmed.

Mel brought this up during their workout and asked Kimmi how her husband's DUI charge affected her. She took to a Love & Marriage: Huntsville confessional to say that she addressed things as they were instead of beating around the bush.

Kimmi said she was "fine" but refused to give further details on the case when Mel prodded for more information. To this, Mel said in a confessional that she didn't like that Kimmi didn't want to talk.

Fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville took to X to criticize Mel about her notions about Kimmi not wanting to share the intimate details of the case.

"Mel you literally said you don’t want anything to do with anyone but then you expect Kimmi to be completely transparent about an open case. Like girllllllll you are exhausting. Ppl aren’t dumb I know Kimmi knew you weren’t being a friend you were just being nosy," said one fan.

"Now Mel should know Kimmi couldn't talk about a ongoing case," another said.

"Mel does not disclose, share or divulge any information about herself. She stated that these cast mates are “coworkers” not friends. Why does she expect Kimmi to share information about her husband’s arrest?!?!" a third one added.

"What made people love Mel was that she survived her husband having a baby on her and getting a divorce. That era is done. Now people are starting to see Mel for who she really is with no more excuses. She was being messy with Kimmi," another wrote.

Some fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville also praised Kimmi for not falling for Mel's tactic of getting sensitive information.

"I love that Kimmi had enough discernment to not talk about Maurice to Mel of all people," an X user wrote.

"Just saying (if I was Kimmi, I wouldn’t tell Mel nothing about my husband either)," another X user wrote.

"Mel… the case is still open. Why exactly would Kimmi talk about it?" wrote one.

"So basically Mel invited Kimmi over solely to be nosey. I can’t keep up with the status of her friendship, or the lack there of, with the Scott ladies," commented another.

The conversation between Mel and Kimmi on Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 5

In a Love & Marriage: Huntsville confessional, Mel said that she wanted to check on Kimmi by asking how she felt about the DUI because she understood that such things were tough when the world was watching. She said to Kimmi that she thought she wasn't doing good. Kimmi said:

"Everything they do affects us. But I think at some point in our lives we all stay by the people that we were with. It's just one of them things."

She added that she was just going to let the system play out and that she was fine. Mel then asked if it took an emotional toll, to which, Kimmi said that there was a phase where her head was "all over the place".

When she refused to divulge more because the case was still running, Mel took to a confessional to say that Kimmi wanted the "tea" when it was other people's business but didn't want to share any of her own.
