The Challenge: All Stars season 4 aired its season finale on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. The segment saw the final eight compete for the grand prize of $250,000. Those competing in the finale were Nicole Zanatta, Veronica Portillo, Leroy Garrett, Derek Chavez, Ace Merson, Steve Meinke, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Laurel Stucky.

Season 4 was Laurel's first ever All stars season, and the installment showcased her turbulent relationship with Nicole Zanatta and her long-time on-screen nemesis, Cara Maria Sorbello. Laurel emerged victorious after a long season of strategizing, performing, and winning multiple daily challenges.

Fans of the show took to social media to react to the season finale and the winner and were left divided. While some felt Laurel earned the win, others credited it to advantages in the show as the eliminated finalists gave her multiple stars. On X (formerly known as Twitter), fans reacted by saying:

So, THIS is how Laurel won? GTFO! Thus is beyond upsetting. WTF! It's called #TheChallenge! Not Big Brother or the Vacation alliance game! What happened to winners actually having to WORK for their win! How f*cking sad!" one person wrote.
"Laurel wanted something physical against Cara all season and then we get a final with carnival games and everyone hands the win to her??? PLZZZ #TheChallengeAllStars4 #TheChallenge," another person wrote.
"Cara Maria would've crushed Laurel if Laurel didn't get all those advantages. Cara was the real winner. Cara I hope you know you did beat her #thechallenge #thechallengeallstars #caramaria," a fan wrote.

Several The Challenge: All Stars fans defended Laurel Stucky's win:

"8 seasons, 5 finals, 11-4 in eliminations & now a 2x Challenge champion. A legend of the game. Laurel's dominance on the field makes it undeniable that she is the Queen of The Challenge. Congrats on the win champ! @laurelstucky #thechallenge #thechallengeallstars4," a fan wrote.
"That's how the Queen of The Challenge does it. Omg am I a prophetess? Laurel champion of AS4 #TheChallenge #TheChallengeAllStars4," another fan wrote.

The Challenge: All Stars fans further said:

"they literally handed Laurel the win with those stars.. #thechallenge" a fan wrote.
"Cara Maria deserved to win that final, she almost caught up to Laurel despite Laurel having all those stars. I don’t like when wins are HANDED to people, what a lame finale #thechallenges," another fan wrote.
"So we all know the only reason Laurel won that was because she got stacked right? Without those advantages it would have been a way different story. #TheChallenge," a person wrote.

Laurel Stucky wins The Challenge: All Stars season 4

The Challenge: All Stars season 4 aired its season finale on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. During the segment, the final eight competed to win the grand prize. As the players got eliminated, they gifted their stars to one of the remaining finalists, which played a part in the 2-day finale.

With each star, the players were allowed to skip a checkpoint of their choice. Laurel Stucky, who received several stars used it to to her advantage by skipping time-consuming puzzles, gaining a massive lead in the competition. She eventually placed first, while Cara Maria finished second, and Steve placed third while Ace Amerson was fourth.

The first runner-up, Cara Maria Sorbello, spoke about The Challenge: All Stars season 4 finale while in conversation with Entertainment Weekly on June 19, 2024. Cara said Laurel had three "extra advantages" in the form of the stars. The cast member said she felt like she won and beaten Stucky if "those stars were not there."

"She saved so much time skipping all those puzzles. I did everything I could. There's not a thing I could have done better or faster, other than the scooter part probably, that would've helped me. So it is what it is. She beat me by the rules of the game. But if those stars were not there, I would've beaten her. I know that for a fact."

As part of the show's format, to be eligible to compete in the finale the contestants had to earn stars, by either winning elimination challenges or stealing someone else's star. Although Laurel won several daily challenges, she didn't compete in an elimination challenge, which left her to steal stars to be eligible to win. However, the twist that allowed others to gift players their own stars in the final, played to her advantage.

After the episode aired, fans of the show took to social media to react to the segment, and several felt Cara should have won. Meanwhile, others celebrated Laurel's win and called her the Queen of the franchise.
