Big Brother UK alum Katie Price has a warrant for her arrest after failing to show up in court

British reality TV star, Katie Price has been issued a warrant for arrest after not attending a bankruptcy court hearing on July 30. Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton issued her an arrest warrant after "very clear warnings."

Price was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March 2024. In March 2024, she had an unpaid tax bill of more than £750,000 to HM Revenie and Customs (HMRC).

In April after failing to attend a specialist bankruptcy court in London, she was informed she could be arrested for contempt of court with a prison sentence of up to 2 years.

As per News Sky, Judge Burton's warrant claimed that Price had not explained her absence and that "she has no real excuse". She also added "the reason for her absence today is irrelevant."

Katie Price on media's "continued humiliation" of her and her family

In February 2024, Katie Price was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from OnlyFans for the next three years. In April, her personal assistant submitted a statement from a psychiatrist to the court, citing anxiety and depression as reasons for her absence and requesting a six-month delay for the hearing, according to Sky News.

After recent events in her bankruptcy case went viral, Katie Price in a lengthy Instagram story, claimed the media was trying to cause "continued humiliation" to herself and her family.

As per social media video stories, the reality TV star is in Istanbul promoting a clinic where she was filming a documentary on corrective surgeries.

In her Instagram story, she also mentioned,

"I have to continue in my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders which is all I am trying to do right now. I am however not running from matters and will continue to take matters with great seriousness."

Katie also added that she is doing the best she can to "rectify things during extremely challenging times."

While addressing her mental health during this time she said,

"I will continue to work on my mental health disorders for the sake of myself and my family and do the best I can."
