"Bittersweet elimination"— The Challenge fans react to Michele eliminating Tina

The Challenge: Battle of the Eras aired episode 7 this week on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The segment saw Era 1 go up against Era 4 after losing the daily challenge.

Era 4 automatically went into elimination after losing the daily challenge, meaning targets Michele and Kyland were set to perform the upcoming task. Meanwhile, Era 3 winners, Jordan and Nia, had to pick who would compete against Era 4. Their options were Darrell and Tina (Era 1) or Nehemiah and Aviv (Era 2).

The winners picked Era 1. As a result, Darrell went up against Kyland, and Tina competed against Michele in Boxster-Phobia. Players of Era 1 were eliminated. Fans of the show took to social media to comment on the latest elimination and chimed in on Tina's journey coming to an end.

"This was such a bittersweet elimination. So happy for Michele, but going to miss the hell out of Tina," one person wrote on X.

"Nooooooo Michele eliminated Tina on a math equation…. Entertainment, personality, and FUN took a BIG hit today," a fan commented.

"It would be so much fun to get drinks with Michele & Tina. That said, it would be an absolute struggle watching them try to figure what an 18% tip is on the final tab," a tweet read.

"I think I've set a tone for myself"— Michele chimes in on eliminating Tina from The Challenge: Battle of the Eras

In The Challenge season 40, also known as Battle of the Eras, episode 7, Era 4 lost the daily challenge and went up against Era 1 in an elimination task called Boxster-Phobia.

As part of the task, the competing contestants had to make their way through a structure while sliding doors and rods obstructed their ways. Each sliding door contained a number, and the players had to use the numbers to solve a code after making their way out of the structure to win the elimination challenge.

Michele exited the structure first but had to re-enter after getting the code wrong. By the time she arrived at the box for the second time, Tina was attempting to solve the code. The Era 4 contestant solved the code first and eliminated Tina.

Michele spoke to the cameras about defeating Tina in The Challenge season 40's latest elimination task.

"By fearlessly completing this and winning, I think I've set a tone for myself that I'm not somebody to be looked at as like an easy win and now it's time to get to the finals, and finally, finally, take a W," Michele said.
