"Blindsided Kaleigh"— Love After Lockup fans react to Hunter choosing Kate over the cast member

Love After Lockup season 5's Love During Lockup is currently on air and airs new episodes every week on Fridays on WeTV. The latest episode saw Hunter coming clean about his love triangle with both his girlfriends and broke up with Kaleigh to be with Kate.

The cast member called Kaleigh and told her that an "ex" popped up and that they had been speaking for a few months. Kaleigh asked how long and he said 3 months. In a confessional, Hunter said things had gone "too far" and that even though he didn't want to break Kaleigh's heart, he had to put himself first.

Kaleigh asked what he meant and he said they couldn't "do this" anymore and broke up with her. Fans of the reality show commented on Hunter breaking up with Kaleigh online. One person wrote on X:

In Love After Lockup season 5 episode 57, titled, Hunter's Choice, Hunter told Kate and Kaleigh about his involvement with both of them and made a choice. He picked Kate over the latter and called Kaleigh up to breakup with her. He told her that an ex popped back up in his life which is why he and Kaleigh couldn't "do this anymore."

"Are you f*cking kidding me right now?" Kaleigh asked.

She yelled at him and told him she had done so much for him including going to a lawyer earlier in the day. She questioned him telling her that his "heart was somewhere else" and asked if he was joking.

Hunter told the Love After Lockup season 5 cast member that she was "genuinely a nice person" and the "sweetest thing." Kaleigh repeated his words and asked if Hunter was really going to "let her down" with those words.

The inmate added that Kaleigh desvered better than him and the latter asked him about the money she spent on him. She asked if the other "b*tch" had been doing the same thing.

"I don't want you to feel used because that's not what it was it," Hunter said.

Kaleigh said that was "definitely" what it was and told her friend, Nic, that Hunter was talking to "some other b*tch." Kaleigh asked him what it was when Hunter insisted he wasn't using her.

Kaleigh asked whether he wanted to be with her and marry her but Hunter said he couldn't say that to her "right now." Kaleigh reminded him that he had been saying that to her before and said he was choosing someone else over her.
