"Bored me tonight"— America's Got Talent fans divided by Reklaws' Quarterfinals performance

America's Got Talent season 19 aired a brand new episode this week on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. The segment was the third round of the Quarterfinals, during which 11 contestants performed live for the AGT audience.

One such act was Reclaws, a country duo who performed Long Live The Night. The judges had mixed reactions to the performance, and so did fans online. AGT enthusiasts took to social media to comment on the performance. One person wrote on X:

#AGT The Reklaws are mixed for me. Cute song, but it feels like a B-song from the early 2010s on a country/folksy album. And their singing was off at times. IMO not the best night so far. I'd honestly put them only a step above Menudo," a fan commented.

"#AGT The Reklaws were drowned out by the backup singers and the band. Didn't think they did as good as the first time," a tweet read.

Some America's Got Talent season 19 fans praised the singing duo:

"I really liked that performance from The Reklaws. I don’t understand why the judges didn’t really like it. #AGT," a person wrote.

"I think this performance was better than their audition personally. The Reklaws have a huge future in country #AGT," a fan commented.

America's Got Talent season 19 fans further said:

"Wow, That was an amazing performance by the reklaws, They sounded incredible together this week during the live shows #AGT," a person wrote.

America's Got Talent: Reclaws performance explored

America's Got Talent season 19 episode 13 saw a total of 11 contestants take the stage live, including the sibling duo, The Reclaws. Their performance was different from their audition song as they chose an upbeat original composition called Long Live The Night.

As their act ended, Sofia Vergara was the first to give her feedback and said she "loved" that they chose another original song. She added that the America's Got Talent season 19 contestants were "amazing".

"There's something about you guys that I really like and I really hope you do great tonight, " Sofia Vergara added.

Howie Mandel, however, had differing views. The AGT season 19 judge said that he loved the Reclaws and knew their work. Praising their audition song, he said it was one of the "most songs" he had ever heard. He added that it touched him personally since it was about mental health.

The America's Got Talent season 19 famed personality added that he looked for the "next round" of the same thing" to lift the contestants. Howie said he liked the previous song better than the one they performed for the Quarterfinals 3.

Heidi Klum appreciated the contestants' journey from singing at the Pumpkin Patch to singing on the America's Got Talent season 19 stage.

"What an achievement. I think you're doing fantastic you know, I think it is so sweet that you are a brother and sister duo," Klum complimented the duo.

Simon Cowell said it was "very obvious" that the America's Got Talent season 19 singing duo was "very talented." He asked them how long they had been performing for. The contestants said they had been performing for their own live shows. He applauded the relationship the siblings shared. However, he wasn't happy with their choice of song.

He said it was "frustrating" for him since they were talented and wrote their own songs. Simon added that Long Live The Night wasn't the song to end the concert with.
