“Chandler kinda robbed”— Dancing with the Stars fans react to Joey and Jenna winning the Mirrorball Trophy

Dancing with the Stars crowned the winners of season 33 on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Towards the end of the 3-hour-long finale special, it was announced that Danny and Witney finished fifth and Stephen and Rylee placed fourth. Meanwhile, Chandler and Brandon secured the third spot.

Moreover, Ilona and Alan became the runner-up pair of Dancing with the Stars season 33. Joey and Jenna took home the prize and became the latest Mirrorball champions. Fans of the reality show commented on the winning pair online and were divided by The Bachelor alum's victory. While some believed Joey had the potential to win, others thought Chandler Kinney was more deserving.

Fans of Dancing with the Stars season 33 called Joey's finale performances "underwhelming":

"Joey had a great season but was underwhelming tonight which is where my gripe comes from with winning over chandler who was amazing tonight. back in s16, zendaya’s freestyle cost her that win but for some reason joey is the one who still won with a weak freestyle?" a person wrote.

"That being said: I predicted Joey was going to win in the first episode and while I think he was a fantastic dancer, I really think Chandler should have won. Idc if she had previous dance experience, she danced brilliantly but didn’t get the votes (or scores) she deserved," a fan commented.

Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson crowned the winners of Dancing with the Stars season 33

In Dancing with the Stars season 33 finale, Joey and Jenna along with the other finalists took to the stage with two performances each. As part of the redemption routine, the two were assigned the Cha Cha style which they performed to Can't Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake.

Ahead of their performance Joey told the cameras that he wanted to take the risk and said he would leave that dance floor knowing he did "everything" he could to win. Derek Hough praised their act and called the The Bachelor star a "top contender" of Dancing with the Stars. Bruno complimented his and Jenna's performance and said that it was "polished to perfection."

Their first act of the night earned them a perfect score as all three judges gave the pair 30 out of 30 points.

For their second routine of the night. Joey and Jenna performed a freestyle to Canned Heat by District 78 ft. Jake Simpson, the Dancing with the Stars season 33 duo wanted to incorporate Joey's passion for Tennis into the routine.

While Derek Hough appreciated the performance, Carrie Ann Inaba felt that it was "underwhelming." The two scored 29/30. When it was time to reveal the winners of season 33, Joey and Jenna emerged victorious and became the champions of the Mirrorball Trophy.

Fans commented on the pair's victory online but were divided in their opinion. While some felt Joey deserved to win, others thought Chandler and Brandon should have taken the trophy this season.
