"Chew him up"— The Challenge fans react to Cory's argument with Josh

The Challenge: Battle of the Eras aired a brand new episode this week on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. During the segment, cast member Cory Wharton got into numerous fights after a physical daily challenge.

Derrick and he argued, during which the former threw his vest at Cory. Later in the episode, Cory and Josh got into a screaming match as Cory was upset with the latter for voting him into elimination.

Fans of the show reacted to Cory's argument with Josh. One person wrote on X:

Cory confronts Josh about voting him into elimination in The Challenge: Battle of the Era episode 8

In The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, or season 40 episode 8, a Gladiator-inspired physical daily challenge caused a rift between contestants. Derrick and Cory argued, as the latter claimed he showed the Era 1 star mercy due to his injured leg. As he walked away, Derrick threw a vest at him, prompting security to step in in case things got worse.

Back at the house, the winners of the daily challenge, Theo and Jenny, decided to pick Cory and Averey for the elimination task. Cory was upset with the decision and criticized Josh and Kaycee for not having his back. Josh and he got into a screaming match as The Challenge season 40 contestant criticized Josh's gameplay.

He asked Josh to put himself in his shoes and yelled at him for asking if he was okay and told him to "go somewhere" else with that "fake bullsh*t."

"Don't ask him if I'm okay, I hate that sh*t," Cory said.

Josh told the cast member he wasn't being fake but Cory continued yelling at him. The Challenge season 40 contestant asked him not to "take" him as an idiot and act like he didn't vote a "certain way." Josh asked who Cory's friend was and the latter said "Not you."

"You think I was going to sway Theo when you literally were attacking him the whole f*cking challenge?" Josh said.

Cory asked what Josh's vote was and whether the end count was "5-2-2?" He asked what the count was when Josh voted. The latter explained he told his team he didn't want to vote since Cory and he were close.

"I don't have time to hear this bullsh*t," Cory said.

The Challenge fans reacted to the argument online and sided with Cory.
