"Choked up and mute" — Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans react to Tricia hesitating to marry Ken

Season 9 of Love & Marriage: Huntsville released episode 9, Open House, Closed Mouths, on Saturday, December 28, 2024. In one of the segments of the episode, Ken sat down with Tricia to discuss their relationship status and future. However, when he asked if Tricia was ready to remarry, she became uncomfortable, saying she would "eventually" get to that point.

While speaking to the cameras, Tricia explained she hesitated to proceed with another marriage, this time to Ken, because of her failed marriage with Marques. She expressed that she did not wish to relive the trauma of a broken relationship by rushing into major decisions. The female cast member wanted to take her time and consider all options before saying "yes."

In contrast, Ken was excited about starting a new chapter with Tricia. Although he looked forward to marrying her, he understood why she hesitated. At the same time, he was certain Tricia would not have second thoughts about their future.

However, Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans remained unconvinced. While many believed Tricia had no intentions of getting remarried, others claimed she had yet to move on from Marques. They took to X to comment on Tricia's hesitation.

"WTH…do Tricia even want to be with Ken?! He up there giving public speeches claiming her kids and she choked up and mute when he mention marriage," a fan wrote.

"Trisha does not want to be married again. Even a blind person can see this," another fan commented.

Many Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans believed Tricia hesitated to marry Ken because she was still not over Marques.

"Trish hasn’t filed the divorce papers. She doesn’t want to be divorced to Marquez," a user posted.

"Trish if you want to be divorced you can schedule time. She’s just so sketchy," a person commented.

"Exactly what Kimmi said. People make time for what they want. Tricia is making excuses now. You been hounding for him to sign the papers and now you don't want to finish it," another fan wrote.

Other Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans urged Ken to recognize Tricia's genuine intentions.

"I don’t think Tricia wanna marry ken because shes not being 100% truthful on this situation with marques. I have a strong feeling she’s the common denominator," another netizen commented.

"I don't wanna make another 13-year-mistake" — Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Tricia details her hesitation around marriage

During a private conversation with Ken, Tricia expressed her desire to change careers and become a full-time fitness trainer. After being a professional engineer for 18 years, she wanted to do something that excited and motivated her. Her partner, Ken, extended his support, saying he would do everything necessary to make the process easy for her.

"I'm definitely in support of Tricia transitioning into a new career. I think that fitness is truly her passion," he said.

After a while, the Love & Marriage: Huntsville couple discussed their encounter with Marques at Xavier's graduation party. They criticized him for using his son's event as an opportunity to talk about his personal struggles with the other cast members. Moreover, Tricia revealed that his behavior negatively impacted the children, who expressed disinterest in keeping ties with him.

Regardless, Ken hoped Tricia could move on and prepare for the future. He asked the Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast member if she was ready to remarry, to which she replied, "eventually."

While explaining her hesitation to the cameras, Tricia said:

"So I'm hesitant to talk about marriage with Ken. It's not necessarily Ken, it's the being married part. I'm excited but I don't wanna make another 13-year-mistake either."

Ken assured Tricia their relationship would last if they took the proper steps like attending church or counseling. Moreover, he understood where Tricia's fears stemmed from and was ready to give her the time to overcome them.
