Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht reached episode 15 on January 20, 2025. Titled Past the Boiling Point, the episode featured an argument between Chase and Gary after the latter accused the former of not listening to him.
Chase also argued with Danni after she called him out for not being serious enough with her. She was mad at him for not telling her about his previous relationship with Alisha, which lasted about two years. In response, Chase said that Danni didn't tell him about the "random dude" she slept with before she came together with Chase.
Danni also argued that Chase did not ask her to continue their relationship after they were done with this yacht. When Chase responded that he didn't know where Danni would stay after the yacht, Danni said she didn't have a house or a dog to go to, so she would figure out where to move. Their talk was cut short by Daisy, who called Danni to help with the dinner preparations.

Fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht came to X to comment on Chase and Danni's argument. While some favored Chase, others backed Danni.
"Chase is an arrogant, narcissistic PRICK who thinks he's above taking orders. Dude needs to grow the f**k up and shut up," said another.
"Chase, that's on you, you're the dumb**s who believed her when she said she didn't sleep with him," added a third.
"And this is why I can’t stand Chase. He’s tattling to Danni and feeding into her bulls**t," another wrote.
Some Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans criticized Danni for being mad at Chase.
"Danni thinking that Chase has been out there thinking of ways to ditch her a**. Ma'am, you straight up lied his face about hooking up with someone," an X user wrote.
"Lolol Danni is the one who lied and yet she's mad at Chase for "not being completely honest," when what she's mad about is absolutely none of her business and has zero to do with her," another user wrote.
"You should’ve never slept with Danni. I knew this would end badly for Chase. she’s a little bit of a clinger and an immature one at that. Diana was the better pick," commented one.
"Never made sense why Danni would lie to Chase in the first place. You were literally on a reality show when it happened," another wrote.
Chase's argument with Gary on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 15
Deckhand Chase and First Mate Gary King got into an argument after the latter asked Chase to be careful when handling the loft of the boat. Explaining the dangerous work, Gary said in a Below Deck Sailing Yacht confessional:
"You need to be correctly attached to the boat and the best way to do this is by using a halyard and a bosun's chain."
Chase thought it was a "quick job," while Gary asked him to use a halyard. Gary then explained the negative repercussions of how Chase wanted to do it and how the Captain would be held accountable if it went wrong.
So, when Chase refused to put the loft on a halyard, Gary complained to the Captain, who, in turn, instructed Chase to listen to Gary. This made Chase take to a Below Deck Sailing Yacht confessional to say:
"I could do Gary's job blindfolded."
He also rhetorically asked Gary if there had ever been a time when he had not listened to him. Gary said there had been times when he had not, and the scene flashed back to those times, proving Chase wrong.
