Love is Blind: Habibi's reunion episode aired this week on Friday, November 1, 2024. The segment saw most cast members of the first-ever Arab installment of the popular Netflix social experiment return to the sets to discuss the events of the series.
Karma and Ammar, who broke up after being unable to see eye-to-eye about certain things, revisited their breakup. The latter was uncomfortable with his partner's passion for dancing, which led to Karma breaking up with him. At the reunion, the two had a calm discussion, and the female cast member stated that she came from a balanced background where men and women were equal.
Fans of the Netflix reality show reacted to the conversation online and praised Karma for standing up for herself. One person wrote on X:
"Karma is my fav! She cleared the misogyny so calmly. I wish I was like that. I would be spitting!"
"Love Karma. What a queen. Love that she's calling out Ammar for his double standards," a fan commented.
"Karma stood on business and I love that! She gave that man countless amounts of opportunities to compromise and get out of his own way," a tweet read.
Fans of Love is Blind: Habibi criticized Ammar:
"One year later and Ammar is still placing the ENTIRE blame for the failure of his relationship with Karma on her. Lack of self-awareness or unwavering pride in culture?" a person wrote.
"Karma asked an important question. Ammar appeared on international TV with his bare chest, but a entirely covered woman cannot dance in public according to him. Smelly double standards," a fan commented.
"I hated the fact that Ammar said Karma ended their relationship over one thing. Well, you were the one that couldn't get passed that one thing, boy. Dear lord, she dodged a bullet," a tweet read.
Fans of Love is Blind: Habibi further called Karma "dignified" for choosing her passion over everything else:
"ok but Nour’s whisper to Karma supporting her following her heart and continuing her hobbies and that someone will love her for it was so cute. I feel like she’s been heavily misread, these fragile men are just intimidated by her," a person wrote.
"I honestly love Karma, she has been so dignified throughout this whole thing, never lost her temper and chose herself in the end (I also love that Nour expressed her support, shame that none of the others did)" a fan commented.
