Their argument began while discussing an ongoing feud between Lisa and Angie Katsanevas regarding their responsibilities as mothers.

While Lisa spoke, Heather supported her which surprised Mary. Mary confronted Heather about not defending Angie despite being her longtime friend. She called Heather "two-faced," citing her tendency to play safe in difficult situations to avoid accountability. Their confrontation escalated when Mary, to prove her point, called out all of Heather's lies, starting from her black eye to body-positivity stories.

When Lisa revealed that she had not talked to Angie since the dinner, Mary wondered why. Heather defended Lisa, saying Angie made "snarky comments" about the cast member behind her back, which caused Lisa to break contact with her. Hearing Heather speak, Mary questioned her about championing Lisa.
