The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5, episode 15, titled Smile, You're Being Recorded, aired on January 8.
The episode featured the cast confronting Britani for secretly recording their conversation, sparking anger. It also showed Meredith voicing her frustration about being targeted.
Britani claimed she overheard Meredith vomiting the night before and suspected she might have an eating disorder. Meredith questioned how Britani could hear her but not the others, even asking if Britani had placed a recording device in her room.
Britani dismissed the idea as "ridiculous." In a confessional, Mary commented that Britani wouldn't record Meredith, calling her "boring."

Fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City came to X to praise Mary for her comment.
"Mary clocked it!! Britani was standing outside the door listening to Meredith," a fan said.
"Mary got a point .. Meredith baby you’re loud as hell .. Britani didn’t need a microphone to hear you," said another.
"Mary said what we were all thinking. Meredith should be grateful Britani gave her a storyline because we damn sure wouldn’t have even noticed she was there. Britani has given more than she has this season and about this eating disorder thing, she can’t let go," added a third.

Meredith's accusation and Mary's comment on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 episode 15
At the dinner table in episode 15, Mary clarified Britani's claims and said she didn't throw up. She was on the phone with her husband, crying, and had "a bit of a coughing attack". Then when Britani accused Meredith of looking for things to be mad at her, the latter replied:
"No Britani, I'm the only one who actually supported you until you came after me like a raging beast, telling everyone false stories about me."
Meredith added that that day Britani recorded their conversation, and asked Britani if similarly, she had put a recording device in her room as well. While Britani called the question "ridiculous", Mary said in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City confessional that Britani wouldn't benefit from planting a device in the former's room because she was "boring" and "not the funnest person in the world". She added:
"Like what would you get from that, I would fall asleep."
