The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 aired Episode 9 this week on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The segment saw the cast celebrate Bronwyn and her husband's anniversary with a weekend getaway.

However, while on the trip, the female cast member felt embarrassed by her husband when the two didn't see eye to eye about discussing her daughter, Gwen's relationship with her estranged grandparents. As Lisa Barlow brought up Gwen spending time with her grandparents at dinner, Todd attempted to halt the conversation while Bronwyn tried to share small details about the situation.

Fans of the Bravo reality show commented on the couple's dynamics and felt there was trouble in paradise. They were critical of Todd's behavior towards his wife on X. One person wrote:

In The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 Episode 9, titled, Revenge is Best Served in Coach, Angie asked Todd and Bronwyn about Gwen reconnecting with her grandparents. Tom said Gwen was not reconnecting with her grandparents and said they were not going to talk about it.

Angie apologized for bringing it up and explained she thought it was "great news" for their daughter. Bronwyn told The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 cast member that it was okay and explained that it was a surprise. However, she added that not all surprises were happy surprises.

Todd and Bronwyn told Lisa Barlow they knew it was "well-intentioned" and the RHOSLC star added that Lisa was being "really great" since she was friends with both Bronwyn and Gwen's grandparents.

Bronwyn said "her feeling" was that they had not been involved in her child's life. Todd interjected and that it wasn't a feeling it was a "fact." Bronwyn continued Lisa didn't mean to step on a minefield and that she showed The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star a picture.

Todd interjected again and said it was not a "minefield" or a "field" they were walking on.

"This is not going to happen. This is over. Stop," he said.

In a confessional, Bronwyn stated she was worried her co-stars were going to embarrass. However, the new cast member was embarrassed by her husband's behavior. She added there was a dynamic around anger and frustration that she and Todd handled "very differently."
