"Coming on real strong" — Love & Marriage: Detroit fans react to Kolby and Chelsea's argument

Season 2 of Love & Marriage: Detroit released its latest episode on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The segment featured the cast members assembled to celebrate Kristina's birthday party. However, one heated disagreement ruined everyone's mood.

LaToya informed the fellow cast members that Chelsea apologized to her for calling her and Kolby a "stooge" in the previous episode. She admitted it was uncalled for and out of line. However, her apology did not satisfy Kolby. Kolby criticized Chelsea for disrespecting a pregnant woman. The Love & Marriage: Detroit star tried to explain that her comment had nothing to do with Kolby's pregnancy but in vain.

Kolby added that Chelsea could not empathize with others because she was "childless" herself. Love & Marriage: Detroit fans took to X to react to their fight. While some claimed Chelsea was too aggressive, others felt Kolby was in the wrong for using her pregnancy card.

"Chelsea coming on real strong she must be trying out her acting skills trying to secure a spot on the show," one fan wrote.

"Kolby is doing too much, but so is Chelsea. Chelsea is doing the most at her friend’s party," another fan commented.

Some fans of Love & Marriage: Detroit criticized Chelsea for putting on a show at her friend, Kristina's birthday party. They stated that Chelsea's remarks about the other ladies were disrespectful.

At the same time, some Love & Marriage: Detroit fans claimed Kolby overreacted. They called her out for using her pregnancy to come at Chelsea.

"Kolby, puh-lese with the "pregnancy" card. She wasn't talking to you. As a pregnant woman, you should've taken a step back," a user tweeted.

What happened between Kolby and Chelsea in Love & Marriage: Detroit season 2 episode 5?

In episode 5 titled Taking Out the Trash, viewers saw Kolby and Chelsea clash at Kristina's birthday party. In the previous episode, Chelsea called Kolby and LaToya "2 stooges" when they went ring-shopping for Kristina. In the newest segment, LaToya informed the other Love & Marriage: Detroit cast members that Chelsea later apologized for her disrespectful comment.

While others accepted her apology, Kolby did not. She criticized her for coming at "someone with child." Chelsea admitted that she was wrong but refused to let Kolby use her pregnancy to slam her. She urged Kolby to "calm down."

"I cannot believe Chelsea and Kolby are having a moment, a moment, at my birthday party," Kristina said.

Kolby criticized Chelsea for disrespecting a pregnant woman, especially since she had never been pregnant herself. She added:

"You don't know what it means to carry life."

While speaking to the cameras, the Love & Marriage: Detroit star explained that people could call her "Mrs. Harris" or "ma'am" but never a "stooge."

Chelsea defended herself, stating the discussion was not about her pregnancy, accusing Kolby of trying to insert herself in the conversation. Nonetheless, she apologized to Kolby for being disrespectful, not for the opinion she had of her.
