The Challenge: Battle of the Eras episode 16 saw the remaining cast members compete in another daily challenge to win immunity from the upcoming elimination task.

As part of the daily challenge, titled, Fire Plunge, the contestants had to drive a convertible, solve a puzzle, and then jump off a 300-foot cliff. They then had to swim for another 500 meters to reach the finish line. Jordon was the first The Challenge season 40 contestant to compete followed by Rachel.
