Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean ended with episode 17 on September 23. Key moments included Captain Sandy proposing to her girlfriend Leah, Aesha disapproving of Ellie's behavior, and Joe getting drunk after the final crew outing. Joe, who had already flirted with Ellie and Bri, started flirting with Carrie, his third showmance. Despite Bri asking him not to flirt in front of her, Joe openly told Carrie he wanted to hook up, and she was interested too.

When they arrived back on the deck from a night of partying, Joe and Carrie were sloshed. The two could barely stand let alone execute their plans. Fans of Below Deck Mediterranean came to X to give their hilarious takes on Joe's flopped plan and drunkenness.

"Joe couldn’t chiqui chiqui boom boom…," a fan wrote.

"So I’m guessing Joe was small and soft. Did I get that right?" another fan wrote.
"Ellie compares her experience to her vibrator dying halfway…Like Joe last night with Carrie!!!" a third fan added.
"Dunno how many times I need to say this but Joe is not into women Peeped it from the jump," another fan said.

Some Below Deck Mediterranean fans thought Joe didn't actually want to do anything with Carrie, which is why getting drunk was convenient for him.

"Convenient that Joe got sooo “sh*t faced” that he couldn’t hookup with Carrie…. Seems convenient," a Tweet read.
"Don’t believe for a second that Joe Bradley has any romantic / sexual intentions for Carrie," read another.
"Monday. Carrie added fun, laughter and light at the end of a rough season for interior. You know that given a couple more charters her and Joe would have hooked up. Too bad Joe got trashed," read another comment.
"Poor Joe. Lol," wrote one user.

What happened between Carrie and Joe in the finale episode of Below Deck Mediterranean season 9?

In the final episode of Below Deck Mediterranean, Joe finally told Carrie that he was "smitten" by her. Carrie too said she was curious to find out more about him. This came after long-standing tension between the two. After hanging out with Joe, Carrie said she worried about whatever friendship she had with Ellie because she too was once drawn to Joe.

While on their way to dinner, Joe and Carrie started flirting with each other. They even kept kissing each other, right in front of Bri, who caught feelings for Joe after they slept together but Joe didn't feel the same way. His closeness with Carrie triggered Bri because she had asked Joe not to flirt in front of her and make her look "dumb". Joe didn't care and said:

"I completely understand that Bri’s upset. She doesn’t want me to flirt in front of her in the taxi. I’m having a great time with Carrie. We’ve just finished a season, baby. I’m sendin’ it tonight!"

He then told Carrie that he wanted to sleep with her, but by the time they wound up and got back to the boat, Joe was so drunk he couldn't stand straight. Carrie was fairly drunk too because of which they couldn't go forth with their plans. When Carrie found Joe in the bathroom he told her:

"I just want to f*kin die alone".

Carrie joked saying Joe sure knew how to woo a woman and they were off to bed.
