"Crazy"— Love After Lockup fans criticize Joey for spending Kim's money on car accessories

Love After Lockup season 5 episode 38 aired on September 13, 2024. The segment saw Joey and Kim get into an argument after the latter discovered her partner had spent a huge amount on car accessories, including alloys.

When confronted about the accessories, Joey said that he did what he was supposed to, but Kim disagreed and asked him to give her debit card back. She enquired about how much money he had spent and Joey replied that the tires cost $500 and he spent an extra $1700.

In Love After Lockup season 5 episode 38, Joey and Kim argued over finances. As Kim returned home, she noticed new alloys on her car. She confronted Joey about the same, stating she asked him to get new tires on the car, and nothing more.

He told her he got tires and rims and she told him they didn't discuss it. The Love After Lockup season 5 female cast member asked for her debit card back and reminded him that she told him multiple times to stop spending money.

When Joey said he spent $2200, she asked why he didn't check in with her. In response, Joey said he didn't think the reality star would care.

"Why the f*ck would you spend over $2000 on something to put on your car to drop those kids off to school?" Kim wondered in a confessional.

Joey apologized but said he wanted to get something for himself since he hadn't done that in a while. Kim told him he did plenty for himself, which is how he landed in jail.
