Beast Games released episode 5 on Thursday, January 9, 2025. It showcased nine players, risking their spots in the show by competing in various games for a $1.8 million private island. After outlasting the others, Mia, known as player 952, and Brennan, known as player 711, reached the final stage of the challenge. However, the episode ended on a cliffhanger without disclosing who won.

The last game was an intense challenge of lies and deception where both players were given the private island's deed. They had to hide it in one of two briefcases, which their opponents would try to steal. Whichever player would finish with both deeds on their side, would win the island and rejoin Beast Games to compete for $5 million. However, their opponent would get eliminated.

After much deliberation, the players swapped their briefcases, hoping they made the right choice. However, the episode ended before the suitcases were opened.

Fans took to X to react to the cliffhanger, expressing disappointment over waiting another week to find out who won the private island.

"The cliffhanger on the new beast games episode is criminal," a fan wrote.

"I'm ready to receive what I know is mine" — Beast Games contestant Mia on her chances of winning the challenge

After players 952 and 711 signed their deeds and hid them in one of their two briefcases, Mr. Beast asked them to decide which briefcase they wanted to steal from their opponent. Although Brennan, known as player 711, wanted to ask Mia, player 952, questions about her suitcases, he chose not to, before announcing his final decision.

Player 952 broke down after player 711 made his choice, saying she felt a "sense of peace."

"I'm not nervous at all. I prayed for this. I'm ready to receive what I know is mine," she added.

While Brennan wished to use the money to retire his parents and help them live comfortably, he wondered what Mia's plans would be if she walked away with the $1.8 million island. Player 952 confessed she would use it to buy the house she lost when she was 23 to have somewhere to live. Mia, who had a difficult life growing up, felt confident about making the right choice.

Brennan assured player 952 that she would be "blessed" since she helped him advance in the competition by giving him the "golden coconut" in the previous game. Soon after, Mia made her choice and both players handed their briefcases to Mr. Beast.

Mr. Beast announced they would play another round in case neither had two deeds. The episode ended before they could open to reveal the contents of their briefcases, leaving fans in anticipation.
