“Cringy”- Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans react to Chase kissing Danni

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 11 came out on December 16. Titled Much Ado About Crushing, the episode documented the crew going through another tough charter. They took care of a lady's birthday celebrations and they cordially divided work among themselves and even went to celebrate for dinner and drinks.

Sparks started flying between Chase and Diana who found some alone time to talk to one another. In individual Below Deck Sailing Yacht confessionals, they admitted to romantically liking each other's energy.

Danni, however, who was known to have a crush on Chase from the previous episode, kept interrupting their chats by asking Diana for various things she couldn't find. Diana thought she was only doing so because she didn't want Chase to talk to her.

Later in the episode, when the cast members went out for dinner and drinks, they returned to the yacht, drunk. While having fun in the hot tub, Chase and Danni made out, which made Diana awkward. The two even decided to leave the tub and retreat to their bedroom.

Diana came to a confessional to say that she was frustrated by the move and felt like she didn't belong. Fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht took to X to comment on the kiss.

"Chase and Danni making out is totally cringy to watch!" said one fan.

"I think we all thought Chase was a simple, sweet boy but he’s just like any other cis man thinking with his," said another.

"I wish Chase would make better decisions," added another.

"Chase grew on me by the end of last season. But watching him and Danni make out is cringe," another wrote.

Some fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht also commented on Danni trying to intervene in the conversation between Chase and Diana and the latter failing to keep it because Chase eventually kissed Danni.

"Wow Danni has hit on every guy on the boat & then she can’t stand Diana even talking to Chase," an X user said.

"Diana doesn't know how to compete with Danni for Chase's attention!" another user said.

"Diana trying to warn Chase about Danni…," wrote one.

"Chase is clearly the most competent crew member!" commented one.

The love triangle between Chase, Danni, and Diana on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 11

When the guests went out to do other activities, Chase and Diana found some free time to hang out. Diana said how there were almost no yachties in Portugal and how she didn't get to see her friends for 2 years.

Chase empathized and said the nature of their work helped them make friends but also kept them away from meeting them.

In a Below Deck Sailing Yacht confessional, Chase said there was more to Diana than what met the eye. He added that he hadn't been in a relationship for quite a while now and was excited to see where things with Diana went.

Danni interrupted first to ask Diana where the knife was, then again to ask her where the jug was. When Diana told her it was in the fridge, Danni asked her to help her find another jug. She also apologized for interrupting their conversation.

Diana took to a confessional to say that Danni had worked on that vessel for as long as she had worked on it. She knew where everything was so it was unbelievable for her to forget things suddenly. Diana and Chase talked again while on their way to the crew dinner.

Here was where Diana said in a confessional that Chase seemed like a nice guy. She stated her bad history with an ex-boyfriend and said that Chase didn't seem like him so she was ready to be treated like a "human" again.
