The Real Housewives of Orange County released part one of its three-part reunion episode on Thursday, November 7, 2024. The segment featured a heated confrontation between Emily and Jenn when host, Andy Cohen, raised the subject of Jenn's partner, Ryan's alleged involvement in a gambling scandal.
Jenn insisted Ryan was not involved in his friend Matt's "bookie business" and believed he volunteered to assist the federal investigators in conducting the inquiry into the business. However, Emily believed otherwise. She claimed Ryan was involved in the scandal and gave information on Matt and his work to secure immunity from the case.
Emily alleged Ryan was laundering money, refusing to believe that he was innocent. She said she was an "attorney" and understood how the case worked. As a result, she provided receipts to try and prove Ryan's involvement in the case, frustrating Jenn.
The Real Housewives of Orange County fans were unimpressed by Emily's engagement with Jenn at the reunion. They took to X to criticize her for being to interested in Jenn's private life.
"Emily is delusional. I don’t understand what is not clicking here. She’s been so rude to Jenn. Worry about the man you have at home," a fan wrote.
"Jenn’s relationship with Ryan is none of Emily’s business; Emily keeps talking just so she can sound like she’s the “smart lawyer” of the group," another fan commented.
"Sounds like Emily WANTS a problem with Jenn because she so desperately needs a storyline," a netizen tweeted.
Many The Real Housewives of Orange County fans called Emily out for coming at Jenn at the reunion.
"Emily when was the last time you won a case??? Stop trying to flex on Jenn with your law degree when it’s been collecting dust. STFU," a user reacted.
"Emily needs to go and be an attorney full time and leave housewives. she is being a straight-up bully, mean girl and excuse my language but a complete and utter b**ch. she went out of her way to have dirt on everyone. i’m surprised she didn’t bring a binder," a person commented.
"Emily, wasn't your story about having to wear jeans and sobbing about it? Why are you talking so much in Jenn's segment?" another fan wrote.
"How miserable is the life of @EmilySimpson_OC to dig into everything and every story about her cast members just to get screen time and feel validated? Like, girl, DO YOUR OWN THING. LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE. CREATE YOUR OWN STORYLINE. You will never be as likable as Jenn," one user posted.
Some The Real Housewives of Orange County fans criticized Emily for calling herself an "attorney."
"Emily trying to be brown haired Elle Woods when Ryan isn’t even being charged in the case. She wants to nail Jenn so bad but it’s not sticking," a person reacted.
"Emily just said is it because I'm an attorney regarding her issues with Jenn. Question, has there been any scenes of her as a lawyer because I haven't seen any scenes of her working? Do they even mention it at all, so what does you being a lawyer have to do with anything?" another netizen reacted.
The Real Housewives of Orange County: Jenn says Ryan and his attorney contacted the federal agents
Tamra and Emily believed Ryan was interrogated by the police about his involvement in his friend, Matt's "bookie business." However, Jenn disagreed, insisting Ryan and his attorney volunteered to assist the federal agents in investigating the case.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star explained that since the agents would use Ryan's name in the case, his attorney asked them to relieve him from the allegations. However, Jenn felt Ryan's name still came to the spotlight because of her popularity and role in the entertainment business.
At that point, Emily interjected, stating that Ryan was mentioned in the case because he was involved in the "illegal" business. She believed Ryan was providing information about his friend Matt, so he could earn immunity, but Jenn disagreed.
Emily exclaimed, "I'm an attorney and that's how it works," noting that Ryan testified so the police could implicate Matt. Soon, The Real Housewives of Orange County star volunteered to detail Ryan and Matt's "dirty business." Emily reported that Matt asked baseball star Shohei Ohtani's interpreter to steal money from Ohtani's account to clear his gambling debts and wire it to Ryan.
She added that Ryan then "moved the money into marker accounts and casinos," cashing it in chips and gambling with it. Emily also revealed that Ryan took 32 trips to Las Vegas with his "money laundering partner" to clear the money they had acquired.
While Jenn dismissed the story, Emily urged her to take accountability for her partner's misdeeds.
The Real Housewives of Orange County will air the second part of the reunion on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 9 pm ET only on Bravo.
