The Real Housewives of New York City returned with a new episode on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. While garden-shopping with her husband, David, Sai confessed she wanted to bury her late mother's ashes. She revealed she had been holding onto it for over two years, keeping it in a shopping bag inside her closet. However, Sai admitted it was time for her to let go of the ashes.

David suggested they bury some of her ashes upstate and plant a tree with it. Sai approved her husband's plan and looked forward to honoring her mother by placing her in an open field amidst nature.

However, Sai struggled to scatter the ashes when the time came to bid farewell to her late mother. Her aunt volunteered to do it on her behalf, making the housewife emotional. Sai and her children cried as they let go of a beloved family member. Nonetheless, Sai revealed she was glad they planted a tree with it since it would represent her mother's new life.

In the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Sai mustered the courage to get her late mother's ashes "out of the box" and bury it amidst nature. During a confessional, the female cast member revealed therapy helped her manage her feelings, making her realize it was time to let go of her grief.

David explained everyone had their own way of grieving when Sai expressed she "messed up" keeping the ashes in her closet for two years. She admitted that with time she learned to tackle her emotions.

"I've accepted that she's in a better place, a peaceful place. She wasn't very peaceful when she was here, so," Sai added.

The Real Housewives of New York City star wanted her mother to be in the woods, one with nature. David suggested they take some of her ashes and plant it along with a tree in an open field. Sai agreed, saying it was a "beautiful" idea.

However, Sai could not open the bag containing the ashes. She felt overwhelmed and was "freaking out." She asked her aunt to do it on her behalf. Sai struggled to process how her mother, whom she had known all her life, was "shoved into a bag."

Sai and her children broke down as the aunt began spreading the ashes in the pit. The Real Housewives of New York City star said she wanted the tree to mean "new life."

"I want her to be a part of nature. She's still with me, just in a different way. It's a place where I can go and just feel like I'm with my mom and it's a happy place," Sai said.
