Netflix's Outlast returned to screens with a brand new season this week on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. The segment started with 16 survivalists who were divided into four teams or camps —Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta.
Bri Walston, who was initially a part of Camp Charlie, left her teammates behind as she didn't think they would survive. Instead of going to Delta, the camp closest to her, she made the five-mile hike to Bravo in hopes of being accepted into their group.
While three out of four members of Bravo didn't want her to be a part of the team, they sheltered her for the night. The following morning, they had a "change of heart" and accepted her as their fifth member.
Bri initially wanted to approach Camp Alpha in Outlast season 2 episode 2
In Outlast season 2 episode 2, Bri revealed that she had made the "very difficult" decision to leave Camp Charlie. She said while she felt bad about leaving without telling her team, she had to remember it was "a game."
"I'm here to compete and win a portion of a million dollars," she added.
The Outlast season 2 star explained that she wanted to go to Camp Alpha as one of their members shot a flare in the previous episode. She noted they were down a player and had one less person doing the "labor." She further explained that if she went to Delta or Bravo, she would have to share the prize fund with four other people as opposed to Alpha's three.
Bri only had 24 hours to find herself a new team, after which, she would be eliminated if left alone. She said there was "no turning around" and had to make the hike.
The season 2 player changed her mind midway and approached Camp Bravo since it was closer. She hoped they would take her in. Bri's long way across the bay left Emily impressed. She added that she could tell Bri was "genuinely exhausted." Emily was "shocked" but "super excited" to see her.
Bri explained she left her camp and added that she had consumed roughly 100 calories in the past week. She told them everyone else in Charlie had been "talking about flaring" or quitting.
She asked the team whether she could join their group but added she didn't want them to feel "pressured."
She was interrupted by Drew who said that Camp Bravo should have a team meeting to discuss amongst themselves. The Outlast season 2's Bravo weighed their options and Drew, Drake, and Sammy didn't want a fifth member. Emily, the only girl in the group, said she would love some feminine company.
While they decided against letting Bri join, they let her spend the night. The following morning, Drew approached Emily and told her he had a "change of heart." The Outlast season 2 star said Bri fit in well with them and he liked her personality.
"If she goes over there, that's making their team stronger," he said.
In a confessional, Drew added that Bri was too valuable to let Alpha have her. He discussed it with the rest of his team and they collectively invited the Outlast season 2 cast member to join Bravo.
By the end of Outlast season 2 episode 6, the cast dynamics changed further. Since Julio and Meghan self-eliminated, Camp Charlie was disbanded. Its remaining member, Joey joined Delta, bringing their number up to five. Camp Alpha also disbanded after Zach and Tonia had to leave due to medical reasons. The remaining member, Tre decided to self-elimination.
Emily and Bri also left the show in episode 6, which meant Bravo had only three members against Delta's five. Tune in next week on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, to see what happens next on Outlast season 2, exclusively on Netflix.
