"Did Nick & Mariah dirty" — The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On fans react to Vanessa, Dave, Chanel, and Micah quitting the show

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 aired its first batch of episodes on December 4, 2024. The segment saw the hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey welcome six new couples to the Netflix show.

In each of these couples, one partner issued the other an ultimatum to either get married or part ways. To help make their decisions, the show's format had them spend time with each other and enter into a three-week trial marriage after breaking up with their original partners. While some newly formed couples bonded well, there were two couples, Vanessa and Dave, and Micah and Chanel, who abruptly left the show and their new partners alone.

Fans of the dating show reacted to the midseason exits online and were critical of the four cast members leaving the show. One person wrote on X:

"Here goes Chanel and Micah being sneaky. Leaving the house at 3:30am and being gone for FIVE HOURS on the FIRST NIGHT is crazy work. At least Chanel said something to Dave. Micah just disappeared while Mariah was in the shower," a person wrote.

"I don't know" — The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star Nick comments on Vanessa's departure

In The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 Episode 4, titled, Ghosted, Nick discovered that his new partner, Vanessa was not in their shared apartment. He told the cameras that he came back to the apartment and was alone. He said that Vanessa "packed up her things and left." Nick further said that there was "no goodbye."

A message appeared on the screen that read that earlier that day, Dave, Vanessa, Micah, and Chanel "secretly" met off camera. It further said that later that day, surveillance cameras captured them packing their things.

Nick further chimed in on his connection with Vanessa and said they had a "really great connection." He added that he believed they tapped into something together that she had been longing for in her relationship with Dave. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 star also stated:

"This entire experience is provided for us to be in difficult situations. It's challenging. Dave, he may have been threatened. I don't know."

As part of the experiment, Vanessa was paired up with Nick while her partner Dave was coupled up with Chanel. Chanel's original partner Micah was paired with Mariah. The two couples departure left Nick and Mariah without a partner but the two continued their journeys, awaiting the end of the three-week trial period to be reunited with their original partners.

Fans reacted to Dave, Vanessa, Micah, and Chanel's departure on social media and demanded an explanation.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 3 will air a new set of episodes on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, on Netflix.
