Love is Blind season 7 episodes 10 and 11 premiered on October 16 on Netflix. The dating reality show returned with a new batch of singles, who were searching for a love that looked past the physical appearance of a person.
Ashley and Tyler were among the couples who got engaged in the pods. They joined the rest of the engaged couple on their honeymoon in Mexico, to get a better understanding of their partner. However, the biggest revelation in their relationship came when Tyler opened up about his past, weeks before their marriage.
Tyler revealed that he is a father of 3 children via sperm donation. Ashley questioned his lack of transparency because, after having several conversations about starting a family together, her Love is Blind fiancé waited so long to share an important aspect of his life.
Reacting to Tyler's delayed disclosure of his past Ashley told him in episode 10 that she was disappointed in him. She said:
"I don't hate you, you know. I'm just disappointed in you."
Love is Blind season 7 star Tyler opens up about his past
In Love is Blind season 7 episode 10, the couple continued their conversation about Tyler's past as a sperm donor. Before the revelation, Ashley thought that they were good at communicating and saw it as their "superpower."
"When I say that something is our superpower, I'm not being corny. We're just really f***ing good at communicating."
The 32-year-old marketing director expressed her disappointment in her future life partner and expressed that she was trying to "navigate a million emotions at once."
Tyler recognized Ashley's feelings about the situation and reassured her that he wasn’t taking either the situation or her willingness to listen to his explanation lightly.
Ashley explained that she wanted to work through the issue and implied that their relationship meant more to her. She added she needed some time to wrap her mind around the situation and for that, she asked her Love is Blind partner to elaborate on his past. She said:
"It says a lot about how I feel about you and us. 'Cause I don't think I would do this in any other scenario. I do wanna give myself time. And the first step starts with knowing more about that dynamic."
Tyler dwelled into his past of being a sperm donor and shared that he had a very close friend who wanted to have a baby with her wife. However, the couple wasn't able to afford a sperm donor, and he thought that he should help them. Ashley asked him if the kids knew what he looked like, and Tyler replied that they did not.
After listening to Tyler's explanation Ashley responded that they can work around the situation "hour by hour." She further agreed with Tyler that they should give their relationship another try.
When the marketing director expressed that she was still unsure about her feelings on the matter, Tyler responded:
"Yeah, I know. That's why I said, "Just try." I'm not asking you to accept... Like, seriously. And I'll give you the space that you need. If it gets to that point where you're like, "I know it's not gonna happen," I'm okay with that. You could wake up the day of the wedding and feel like, 'I'm not doing this.'"
Tyler further stated that he wouldn't be upset if she said no at their wedding, acknowledging that they should try to work through their issues. Nevertheless, he admitted that he was scared that their relationship would not work out.
Love is Blind season 7 finale will be released on October 23 on Netflix.
