Big Brother season 26 has almost come to an end as it came to its last week, i.e. week 12, after the last episode 35, released on October 3, bid adieu to Kimo. The Power of Veto last week was won by Makensy who didn't use it because she had nominated Kimo and Rubina as the Head of the Household.
The Power of Veto competition was BB Comics, which had the contestants fly around the backyard on a zipline to correctly place comic book covers matching with Big Brother 26 contestants. Makensy strategized well and bagged the win, while Chelsie fell short only by Brooklyn's cover. Cam and Rubina were the worst players who either misplaced the covers or didn't recognize they were doing it wrong.
Julie Chen Moonves in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, commented on Cam's game, and his yet another comp fail. When she was asked how this former competitive athlete(Cam) was so bad at comps, Julie said:
"Perhaps he doesn’t get the same adrenaline rush athletes get when it’s 'game time!'"
"Sitting in the Final Four" - Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves on Cam Sullivan's game
Talking about Cam's game, the interviewer at Entertainment Weekly called out Cam's "absolutely dismal performance" in yet another competition. When asked what might've been the reason for another loss on Cam's side, Julie said that the 25-year-old athlete didn't get the adrenaline he needed to score a win.
She added that an athlete might get pumped up when they get a pep talk from the coach, encouragement from their teammates or cheers from the crowd, which was all absent on the sets of Big Brother, which might be the reason why Cam didn't perform. She took Cam's side and added:
"He’s coasting along and doing just fine… taking naps, breaks during the BB Comics comp, and look where he is… sitting in the Final Four".
Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves' comments on Makensy's decision and Kimo's eviction
Fans of Big Brother called Makensy out for not eliminating Chelsie because they thought she didn't stand a chance against her ally if they made it to the final together. The interviewer at EW tapped into it and asked Julie if she thought Makensy made the wrong decision by not taking out Chelsie. Julie said:
"We see her[Chelsie] that way because we see everything, hear everything, and know everything Chelsie says in the Diary Room. Makensy sees Chelsie as her partner to get to the end".
Julie was then asked to sum up Kimo's game and his eviction in the previous episode. She said Kimo had a lot of love from the houseguests. She pointed out that Kimo won two "do or die" comps where winning was of paramount importance if he wanted to survive in the game. One was his AI Arena win in the first week, and the other was his Veto win last week on the double eviction night. She also added that Kimo survived the block seven times.
Julie also commented on Kimo saying she was the most relatable person to him, after his eviction. She said she was touched and honoured, and hoped that she was representing the Asians in a "positive light".
