"Wild boy"— Love After Lockup fans react to Hunter talking to 10 women apart from Kate while in prison

Love After Lockup season 5 aired episode 51, marking the beginning of Love During Lockup. The segment introduced new storylines as new couples were introduced. As part of the show's format, one partner was incarcerated while the other prepared for their release.

One of the new couples introduced to fans was Kate and Hunter while the the female cast member awaited his return. However, Hunter contacted her in the episode to let her know that his early release might be threatened as he was caught engaging in "s*xual" activities online while talking to other women.

Kate was aware and supportive of Hunter's other relationships as they helped him get money for his expenses while in prison. She revealed she signed him up for the website where he started speaking to these women and the male cast member revealed that he was speaking to 10 women currently. Fans of the show commented on the arrangement online. One person wrote on X:

In her introduction video for Love After Lockup as part of Love During Lockup, Kate recalled her and Hunter's relationship. She revealed they met at a coffee shop where he worked and that they dated casually for a year before he went to prison.

Hunter via video call said that initially his feelings towards Kate were "s*xually oriented" and it slowly turned into a "friendship plus relationship." While talking to the cameras, Kate explained why she stayed in touch with him as a friend.

"Having DUIs is not a shut-the-door red flag. But I got more deeply emotionally involved that I would have liked to have been," she added.

While Kate was at the park, she received a call from Hunter and he told her there was something they needed to talk about. The Love After Lockup season 5 cast member said that he had been doing well until a point and revealed that one video call with one of his suitresses got out of hand.

He said a guard heard him while he was on the call and checked the tapes. Kate told the cameras that she knew about Hunter's involvement with other women and that they sent him money to survive while in prison.

When asked how much he made through these video calls, Hunter said it was approximately $2,000 per month. He added that he was initially talking to close to 40 women but he narrowed it down to who provided him the most financial support and had a "roster" of 10 women.
