Season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way reached episode 17 on October 21. The episode, Donna Mia, saw Sean finally meeting Joanne's mum over a video call, while Tatha's sister met James. They both interrogated the other over potential problems they thought their relationship might have.
Corona and Ingi had a disagreement after she asked him if he would ever marry her. He said people didn't marry easily in Iceland and if they did, it was for practical reasons as a majority of the country was atheist. In a confessional, he said marriage didn't "mean a thing" to him and that putting a ring on her wouldn't change his love for her.
Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way flocked to X to react to Ingi's notion. Some supported him for not getting into marriage so soon, while others criticized Corona for not talking to him about marriage before moving to Iceland.
"Inky claims marriage means nothing in his culture but everyone in his family is married. I think it's clear that he is not interested in marrying her. I DONT BLAME HIM. Corona isn't married for obvious reasons," said one fan.
"How can Ingi say he loves Corona but doesn't want to marry her when she wants to get married," said another fan.
"He really thought he was going to set up a 10-year situationship? If Corona wanted that, those are a dime-a-dozen in America," a third fan added.
"I don't blame Inky....I wouldn't marry Corona either. She is literally a walking hassle and argument," another wrote.
Some 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans came to X to criticize Corona for not finding out about Ingi's interests in marriage before making the big move.
"Corona is like now I don't think I can trust you. Girl, you moved across the world for a man who doesn't even see marriage with you in the future. This is all your fault. GO HOME. You're dumb!" an X user commented.
"They’re not connecting because Inky is laid back and Corona is not. She’s also expecting marriage when she moved there without ever figuring out where his head was," another commented.
"Corona is like I feel stupid now. AS YOU SHOULD. WHY are you even there? Chasing a man who has not made one single inclination that he wants to marry you," added one.
"Corona, is that her name? The girl in Iceland? If she had done any homework on Iceland would have found out they are very liberal and open-minded A lot of people never marry and it’s not a big deal. Not very religious either. If it wasn’t so cold…," wrote one.
The conversation between Corona and Ingi on episode 17 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6
The conversation on episode 17 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way was about Corona's suspicions of Ingi wanting to see other women. In his defense, Ingi said he was friends with lots of women, and his talking to them didn't mean anything.
Corona said that his defense maybe meant he was doing stuff she should be afraid of.
She then asked him how she should trust him or be sure of him, and asked if he was ever going to marry her. Ingi said he didn't know if people usually got married after knowing each other for five months. Corona argued and rhetorically questioned if people moved to each other's country on such short notice.
Ingi said he saw her as his partner for the rest of his life but said that they as a country didn't believe in marriage as much. In a 90 Day Fiancé confessional, Ingi said that he loved Corona and didn't need to put a ring on her to prove his commitment.
He then said if it meant so much to her, he might think of getting married to her in the "near future". Corona, in a confessional, said Ingi's thoughts on marriage were making her question her move to Iceland.
New episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 are released on Mondays at 8 pm ET, on TLC.
